Have you ever tried to use Joyride with Flare? I'd really like to use it in a new project I'm working on, but it seems to me that something in the Joyride JS is compromising Flare.
I keep getting the error (in the browser inspection tool) "the function foundation is not defined." That means there ...

Thanks, NorthEast! As always, your advice is very valuable.
I've seen React components that also might help with this. I'll investigate more.
Thanks!

Filter Navigation Menu
How can I modify a second Flare search bar for a side nav menu and have it automatically filter the menu items as the user types? YouTube has an example here on the left menu: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/code_samples

Loading Multiple Projects in Central
Hi. Question please.
If I have multiple projects that I want to show on one live site, what's the best way to accomplish that? Should I use project linking, or is there a way to load different project content into the "slideshow" component?
I don't want to manually copy/paste into the slideshow. I ...

The new Slideshow addition could be used for something like this. It's like having multiple topics in one file. Each page is an individual "card" element.

Using the Calc CSS Property on a Button
Hi. I'm trying to use the following calculation on an a.myselectorname element with my stylesheet in Flare.
margin-top: calc(100vh + var(--offset));
This isn't working though. What am I doing wrong? It works fine on codepen.

Integration with Gainsight inSided
Has anyone integrated Flare with a product called inSided? It's a product offered by the company Gainsight. inSided integrates with tools like Zendesk and others, so I figured it would be easy to integrate with Flare as well.

Re: Styling a Menu Proxy
Dave, thank you so much for this advice. I don't like the fact that Flare will dictate a skin (if there's one in my project) if I don't specify one. This leaves my project open to someone modifying the dictated skin for this menu... when in fact, that skin might be used for a menu in another part of ...

You might try increasing (or setting) the z-index value so that the menu is at a higher level (layer).

Thanks, Nita. These terms haven't been added over time. I received an Excel worksheet from a developer with two columns: ColumnA=terms list and ColumnB=definitions list. I sorted them in alpha order and removed leading spaces (in the definitions column). Then I used the Kaizen plugin to "Import ...

Hi. Is there a maximum number of entries for each glossary file? I have a glossary file that has around 2,100 terms and definitions (and I need to add more). When I build online or PDF outputs, everything works fine and the glossary generates.

Re: CSH - Developer using alias.xml but. . . .
Thanks for the information, Dave. I did not know Flare automatically redirected URLs in that fashion. I thought because the TopNav URLs were visibly different than the Tripane URLs, we would have to create the header/alias files and have the devs change many links in the application.

Re: CSH - Developer using alias.xml but. . . .
Just as a note, I don't think you can tell Flare which header file to use with the alias file.

I'm having a similar issue in Flare. Bing gives the code below, and Flare says the equal sign is an unexpected token. Why doesn't it work?

Re: Bullets Not Staying in DIVs
Hi TWAnnie. I'm not sure why the div didn't show up before, but it is there. I did try inserting a Flare textbox from the insert tab, and that must have jerked something into gear in Flare, because now it all works. Sometimes, I think Flare has issues if the writer manually codes HTML into the ...

Hi. I have styled a DIV and within it I have a <p> and an unordered list (<ul><li>). In Flare's editor, the div and style shows fine. However, in Preview and in any browser, the layout is distorted.

Or maybe a script to check the status of ServerEnabled, and if it is true, then abort the build or the publish and give the writer a dialog message box explaining why.

Re: Thumbnail Not Displaying Full Size When Clicked
Thanks, Dave. Guess I'm confused by Flare's help; it says it will show the full-size image in the popup. My image is 800x600, so it doesn't seem like Flare calculates the window properly because it clearly doesn't show the popup at 800x600. It looks more like 400x500.
