May I piggy back on to this question... and perhaps help answer this question. Um... it is from a few weeks ago, is the OP still interested in a solution.

I can confirm that it doesn't work in preview, and found that's because Flare doesn't apply the medium - which is a bug.

I separated this bullet style into @media print and @media non-print versions.

The result was that in the xml editor - settings: Layout (Web), Medium (non-print), it looks perfect! Eureka! :D

Windings is a Windows-only font, so if some of your users are on Macs or other Apple OS devices, then they won't see the checkbox -- at best it would just be missing, but at worst it would be a weird character. Likewise if you have WebHelp output hosted on a non-Windows web server. So for that ...

BTW, I choose Wingdings because it was available and common. Will it ever become a problem with Web output and PDF? I don't think so but I feel I should ask.

I have my Flare project on one monitor and my stylesheet opened in NotePad ++ on my other monitor! When I make changes to my stylesheet and click Ctrl-S, the modifications are instantly reflected in my project. I love instant gratification! :wink:

Perhaps you misunderstood? What I am trying to explain is that my project is ALWAYS displaying the Print Medium regardless of which Target is set. What I want is to have Default Medium set when editing in the XML editor but no matter what I do, it always resets to Print Medium.

In the screenshot of your topic, you have got Layout (Print) selected, so you're in print layout mode; and if you view the topic in print layout mode then the medium will default to print . Change this to Web layout, if you are working with web targets.
