You'd think that there is a positive ROI to providing git integration in Flare.
I am sure the MadCappers did the math, there may be ROI for you and many others, but that may not mean ROI for MadCap. As sad as it sounds, well managed companies do not chase every opportunity. I came across a few ...

Re: Class materials or a book recommendation
Paul Pehrson offers some very reasonably priced training courses. Check out http://www.paulpehrson.com/docguy-training/ .
Also, although you said you don't think books offer good training (an opinion I don't share), Lorraine Kupka's reasonably priced "Five Steps to MadCap Flare" has an excellent ...

Re: Command Line Build batch file
You can still use madbuild in v9, it's covered in the help here: http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/flare9/Default.htm#Output/Building_Targets_Using_the_Command_Line.htm
Note that since this thread was started, you can now set up batch targets in Flare to build and publish multiple targets ...

Re: Flare and GIT
Thanks for your reply RamonS.
I think adding ribbon UI and QR codes was a total waste of effort
Giving MadCap the benefit of the doubt, probably a different team (UI team) that would normally have nothing to do with versioning (somewhat more complicated). But QR codes? I am sure it was nothing ...

Re: Command Line Build batch file
This is a fantastically detailed reference to the CLI but being mostly from 2006, is it still relevant for MadCap v9? I know that madbuild.exe still exists.

Re: Using MadCap's CLI to build a PDF or webdoc?
FYI, there are detailed CLI instructions here: http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... &sk=t&sd=a
But this post is from 2006. Is this post still relevant for MadCap v9?

Using MadCap's CLI to build a PDF or webdoc?
Hello all,
I am days away from purchasing MadPak. In my proposal process, I was asked if:
a) Is it possible to pull down (from source control - we use git), a MadCap project to make some text edits to the XML
b) Compile the project directly from MadCap's CLI
I am presuming that MadCap uses some ...

Re: Flare and GIT
Considering that this conversation about git integration has been going on for over three years (and three major revisions), should I be concerned that MadCap doesn't listen to their customers?

Re: Class materials or a book recommendation
It is a real shame that MadCap doesn't 'give away' a getting started training videos.
I am also in a position where I need to learn the basics of MadCap Flare very quickly, however, the cost of the $599 for a getting started webinar/training course seems a bit too Oracle'ish - a bit greedy. Sure ...
