If you manually create an HTML page and call the SVG file in the HTML source will it display in the browser?
I think I need more sleep.
I just published to the HTML target again and this time all the .svg images are there. I am guessing that the last time I checked, I was previewing a partially ...

Re: Some issue with HTML output (esp. topnav)
I heard somebody yesterday complaining about the forward and backward buttons in top-nav output. It seems they may not (yet?) be supported.
The print button is just the browser print button, since you aren't dealing with frames. In earlier output versions, the topic was always displayed in a Frame ...

Two more to add:
4) Where are the nav buttons - i.e. forwards/backwards?
5) Where is the print page button? That would be nice to have.

Re: Some issue with HTML output (esp. topnav)
I don't know about the svg issue for headings, but my first thought about broken SVG images in the output is the browser you're using. ( More info on browser support for SVG . My second thought is that the SVG needs to be in a specific format to work in Flare. AFAIK the Flare help doesn't mention ...

Some issue with HTML output (esp. topnav)
Hello all,
I have begun experimenting with the new HTML5 topnav template and I like it but I have also noticed a few issues. Hopefully, I can obtain some insight before approaching MadCap support.

I have to say that I have no problems at my side.
This morning I build a Word document of 150 pages full with small tables and it only took about 20 seconds!
20 seconds?
I am going to guess that it was mostly text and for web output. LOL

This is BACCCK in Flare v11!
I have been encountering this error multiple times in Flare v11.
It happens when I am simply editing text in the XML editor. Just minding my own business, typing text and poof!! MadCap Flare v11 crashes.... and gone, is a few minutes of work!

Re: Annotating an image with Capture
Alternatively, open Capture and re-save the image without the annotations. Then, in Flare click Tools > Regenerate Captured Images (I don't use the ribbon so not sure where that option will be on the ribbon). The image should be back to its original state.

Re: XML view is quite different than published PDF view
I guess I was short on patience yesterday.
Because of the significantly different kerning of this font, all I needed to do was adjust the default font details, under <body>, such as the font size and a line height of 1.1em. Presto-magic... my XML editor view again roughly matches the PDF output. :)

Duplicate footnote numbers per page - revisited
This won't be a big deal for me until I begin publishing my docs online. Primarily because it is easy to fake a footnote in print but no so with the online pop-up footnote.
I was disappointed that the inability to use the same footnote number more than once per page or chapter is still not fixed so ...

Hello all,
I have finally found the reason for the improper image rendering (aspect ratio problem) when using the Image Map Editor with vector images (i.e. PDF image, .svg). To be clear, this problem was evident in Flare v10.x but until now, I wasn't aware of the exact nature of the problem ...
