Re: Is topnav a good idea, friendly user?
I like the topnav as well. But I cannot authoritatively comment yet because I haven't implemented it. When I do (in about 8 weeks), I will likely make many customizations. I'll repost to this thread again.

I'm trying to use Flare 11 and build my targets, but I don't know if it's just my computer, so before I contact support, I would like to know if anyone is having issues w/ the build.

Is there a better way to show hyperlinks? What are your thoughts?

Everybody interested in SEO for Flare needs to check out the Top Navigation outputs in Flare 11. They do not use the Frame. And it appears the template they provide uses Foundation Framework . Head over to the Building Blocks section to see what's possible there.

Re: How do you handle hyperlinks in PDF documents?
I use cross-references instead of hyperlinks. That way you get a page number, and the link updates to match the title of the document. I also make the cross-reference really obvious and explicit rather than just hoping that the link fits somewhere in the sentence I've written. For example:

Re: How do you handle hyperlinks in PDF documents?
I have strayed from the traditional color from time to time only to match the color scheme of the document or corporate guidelines. A darker blue goes a long way to soften the look, as long as it's not too dark. You want the user to know there's a link, right?

Re: v11 - Stop the default Dynamic Help sidebar
I've seen this behavior when moving from V7 to V8, V8 to V9, V9 to V10, and now V10 to V11. Once I create a layout in the new update, I'm good (with that caveat still there).
Have a good weekend, too.

Re: How do you handle hyperlinks in PDF documents?
I style my hyperlinks when rendered in PDFs not to use the standard (I agree, jarring) blue, and frequently not underlined either. Just style the a class (or a subclass) as you wish, in whatever medium you're using for your PDF output. Not sure about the superscripting...

Re: v11 - Stop the default Dynamic Help sidebar
This is what Flare will always do for a newly installed version. It's showing you the default layout. Create and save a new layout with windows arranged the way you like them. The next time you open Flare 11, it should load that layout. I assume that for Flare 10, you had created and saved a layout ...

Re: v11 Quick Find bug! Loops on footnotes!
Update #3: Confirmed that this isn't a document anomaly because the same behavior was found in a different document.
In this document, the Quick Search loops over four words because this one has two footnotes that include the search term.

Re: v11 Quick Find bug! Loops on footnotes!
Update, I can back up but I cannot go forward, beyond this footnote. If I continue clicking, I will reach 75 of 75 but one click beyond will reset the value back to 1 of 75. Reversing at 1 of 75 just takes the value to 75 of 75 and decrements from there.

v11 Quick Find bug! Loops on footnotes!
Hello all,
I just encountered a new bug involving Quick Find.
Opened Quick Find to search for every incidence of a particular word.
After about 10 of 75, it found a word that was used both in the paragraph and in the footnote. This is where the Quick Find got caught up in a loop.

Flare's API for plugins
I am interested in exploring Flare's plug-in potential.
Has there been any significant work done with Flare's API for plug-ins?
Is there any other information available, besides this page: http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/flare ... in_API.htm
Thanks

Hello all,
Just curious...
First, how many of you are using git source control?
Second, how many of you cannot use Flare's git integration until ssh is implemented.

v11 - Stop the default Dynamic Help sidebar
Every time I restart Flare v11, the Styles/Attributes/Formatting windows (in sidebar) are replaced by a single Dynamic Help window.
Does anyone know what to do to bring back the Styles windows, as default (like I had v10)?
Thank you

The following method is much simpler, does not involve a script, and works in all browsers I've tested.
Just open all your html5 masterpages (.flmsp) in a text editor, and add the following line:
