What versioning system do the developers use to version their code? I'd be surprised if they don't already have a system in place that you can leverage off.

Hi - yes indeed what was happening was that if one uses "TOC Depth for Heading Levels" and then this causes a heading to get promoted to a heading style that doesn't exist (for example, a H4 is "promoted" to a H7), then the heading is rendered as a H1.

Word can do that with an Embed field, but to get Flare to do that would depend on how you have set up the link from the HTML in the first place.
I have not tried this from Flare before - how have you set up the link to the diagram to start with?

If my output is Word, can I publish an _editable_ Visio diagram in my output? Or does it have to be a static picture format (JPG or PNG).

I have a number of topics which only display well in landscape mode. So for those, I select Page Layout > Default_Landscape.flpgl > Normal .

However, if I close the topic and reopen, the page layout reverts to Page Layout > Default.flpgl > Normal , which is portrait mode.

I have 2 targets for an identical TOC. The TOC contains numerous topics plus a title page topic and copyright topic

The PDF version builds fine. However, the Word version appears with blank pages instead of the title page and copyright.

What should I check in this case?

We have a stylesheet with headings 1 to 6 set up as normal. But we're seeing a problem where H4 is "reset" to H1 - that is, in the resulting PDF, it appears with the same font size and at the same level as the H1 heading, even though it's defined differently in the stylesheet.

I have a topic that is common functionality across many screens in a Gui and so appears more than once in our TOC. How do I insert a cross-reference to a particular instance of a topic, when it occurs more than once?

Did anyone ever get a reply on this? I'm currently running into continuous problems with using Subversion with Flare (version 12 in our case) - freezing, being unable to add empty folder, checkins not working but no error being shown - so if deleting a cache might work, would love details.

Yesterday I did a checkin of two files into Subversion from Flare. When I check my most recent checkin today, I was confused as I could only see one file checked in.

When I check the Subversion, I see there were _two_ separate checkins performed, one two seconds after the other (so definitely not ...

I've created a new tree of topics in folders and am unable to check them into Subversion.

First I created the folders, then sub-folders, into which I then created the topics.

Then I did a Commit Add. At this point the topics, but not the folders, have a green + icon.

Just as a follow-up, I notice I also get this error when occasionally, Flare for some reason does not wrap a condition with spaces in the ConditionTagExpression of a target with " marks.

The fix is to open the target in a text editor and look for conditions with spaces which are not wrapped, then ...

Hope someone can help. Opening a skin in Flare 12, I get the following error:

"Failed to open startup file: An item with the same key has already been added."

Also, if I then make changes to the skin, those settings are not retained when saved.

This seems to be because I duplicated a skin file ...
