Hi all,

When I output PDFs, some would have two periods or more in the title (where, for example, version numbers are used). However, the value in the "Output File" name for the target gets truncated. For example, "Acme Guide 4.0 (1.0)" rather than producing Acme Guide 4.0 (1.0).PDF actually ...

For security purposes, I do not normally use a Windows account with admin rights; if I need to install software, etc, I use a separate account with admin rights.

Trying to build a guide, I suddenly get the following error :

Thanks. It turns out the files were checked out and locked by a user - but the user was _me_! Weirdly, Flare treated this user as an entirely other one. In the end, the solution was to use svn to break the lock between all the files and that user (ie, me).

For some reason, the "checked out to other user" icon is shown for files for both me and for the other user on the project. I've loaded the Pending Check-Ins list as per "Requesting a User to Check In Files" in the documentation.

The list freezes but eventually refreshes to show the files. The ...

My SVN password changes on the server regularly. How do I then sync that in Flare? I've looked around and can't find where my svn username/password are stored.

About to check in a file, when I clicked "Check in All", Flare shows every file in my project as having suddenly changed.

Afraid not. I'm running into this error with fairly simple operation; for example, renaming a file via Madcap Flare.

In my guide I have some material with multiple condition tags. I had assumed that if at least one of those tags is excluded from the target, then the material would be excluded. However, the material is being included.

For example, I have material with both the following tags:

Does anyone have any advice about troubleshooting this error? No additional information is given, and I get it regularly whenever I'm checking in more than a few files at once.

When instead of checking in all the files once I instead check in a batch at a time, it works fine. Obviously the latter ...

For some reason, the first two chapters of a generated PDF have the same number; any idea why this might happen?

I created my first PDF of a new manual; when I check the table of contents in Acrobat, there's a "Bookmarks" chapter at the very end; this contains multiple bookmarks of the type "_Ref<number>". No idea how this ended up in the PDF, does anyone know?>

I've set up a guide which uses conditional text, and will have multiple TOCS for the guide; a TOC will specify a sub-set of topics and also conditions as some material in those topics should be included/excluded.

I note that conditions are also specified at the target level. Do I need to ...

I obviously changed a config setting without realising but when I hit Ctrl+F to perform a search, the "Find and Replace" tabbed section now covers all the other tabd rather than being displayed separately on the extreme right as before. Any idea what I need to change back?

Would there be a system setting for this by any chance? I normally create xrefs by using Insert Cross Reference (Ctrl + Shift + R) then selecting the relevant heading and xref style.

I've created some cross-references to headings which contain short words and spaces. The upshot of this is that the bookmark automatically created contains a space ( ). Unfortunately for some reason this stops Flare recognising the link; when I hold [Ctrl] and click on the link, I am not taken to ...

If I'm checking in multiple files, I must select them all individually in the "Check In" dialog. Is there any kind of "check all" shortcut that works here? [Ctrl+A] does actually select them all but then no key seems to select them - I tried Space and Enter anyway)
