By default, a condition tag applied to an image is shown as a small square of the relevant colour in the top-right corner of the image. I've love to make this less subtle if possible - is it possible to make that square larger or even just tint the entire image? Is that configurable anywhere?

Re: Trouble with using tables as snippets
Hi Lydia, yes, that seems to work. I'm guessing the problem was the wrapping paragraph tags I was forced to add. Now that I don't have to add them, the table renders correctly.

Trouble with using tables as snippets
I'm using Flare 9; I note that when I select a table to use as a snippet, the Create Snippet button is greyed out.
As a workaround, I added framing <p>.... </p> tags around the table and then added that whole as a snippet. This worked fine.

Exclude snippet from autosuggest?
We have a snipped, some legal frontispiece material, that starts with "The....". The problem with this is that autosuggest suggest it everytime the word "the" is used.
Can I do one of two things?
1. Exclude a particular snippet from auto-suggest.

Tips on condition tagging for versioning
I'm interested to hear how people use condition tags to produce multiple versions of guides from the same source material, particular when material is deleted or changed for a particular version.
For example if I add new material for version 4 of a guide, this seem trivial; tag the new material ...

HELP - Pending Check-Ins stuck on "Loading...."
Edited a large number of files and tried to perform a checkin. This froze initially so after a while I force-quit the app.
Now when i go back into my project, the "Pending Check-Ins" section just shows "Loading...". No idea how to proceed here.

Can I set "update all links" by default?
Twice while moving files I've been distracted (my toddler son in both cases!) and hit No rather than Yes when moving a file and prompted to update all links. Needless to say then trying to fix the broken links is a major pain.

Re: Enlarge text in XML Editor view...
I'm glad it's not just me who can't handle this! No joke but I find editing my topics in raw XML in Notepad++, then pasting them back in, is easier on the eyes than trying to use the editor.

Reusing material when all images have been updated?
We have guides where between any two versions, there may be relatively few changes to the text, but due to application stylesheet changes, all screenshots have to be changed. This is not necessarily every release but does happen regularly.

"Find" stops working intermittently
I'm running Flare 9 and see an odd problem; every so often, Find and Replace just stops working. I can put in a simple word visible in the open topic, click Find Next and the message The Specified text was not found is displayed. There's no pattern as to when this happens.

Re: "Style" dropdown showing incorrect styles
OK, this is strange; it turns out styles are being displayed but as blank values.
For example, there's a gap in the dropdown where the h1 -> h4 styles should be. If I hover over the space, the invisible style is highlighted and I can click to apply it. But the style name itself isn't displayed ...

Hi,
Changing that value (default/print/non-print) doesn't appear to change anything.

"Style" dropdown showing incorrect styles
I'm editing a test topic file which is linked to a stylesheet. These styles are being used correctly in the WSIWYG "XML Editor".
Also, I have turned off the master stylesheet for the current project.

thead border not displaying
I've set up simple table styles that should display a table with 1px borders/lines all over, with a grey heading (with white text).
Everything works except the border around the heading is not shown.

border-collapse: collapse;

When you insert a new table, you can select a table stylesheet from the "Table Style" drop-down list. However, there is also a "default" value. Where is this default value specified?

Suggested file/directory structure for project(s)
So I've come to grips with creating and editing a new guide. However, I'm now trying to decide on how to check it into Subversion - specifically the file structure to use for multiple guides, each of which has multiple versions and where they share common material. Does anyone have any suggested ...

Topics & Heading Level
I'm only really starting with Madcap Flare so bear me as I ask what may be stupid questions:
When I create a topic, I have to give its title a particular heading level (H1, H2, etc). However, given topics are reusable, I may use it in a document at any particular level. What happens then?

Page Layout footer frame: "Copy" is greyed out
I'm currently following Lorraine Kupka's book on Madcap Flare and am trying to copy a page layout footer and paste it into other layouts (page 226 of her book).

Hi Chris,
No port number is needed. For example, using TortoiseSVN, here's the URL I would use to access a test directory I've created:
http://proddev-svn/svn/docsvn/Test/
The above works fine with TortoiseSVN. However, none of the following combinations work with Flare:

I am not sure how realistic your URL example is, but in my environment, I cannot omit the www or the .com.
We use URLs, rather than SVN addresses.
The URL shown works within our environment anyway ("svn" resolves locally)
