Re: Numbering is off centred even with li and p the same
When I checked HTML5 output against the stylesheet it looks fine. What I did then was go back to a default Flare stylesheet and see if that worked. That did, so I checked the difference between it and mine and it was the use of padding-top and padding-bottom in the li and p styles. I removed those ...

HI Steve,SteveS wrote:From memory this is an issue with the way browsers display lists and cannot be overcome.
I recall the solution is to use autonumbering to create the list. This also overcomes some of the other difficulties with HTML lists.
Just to note this is in a PDF?

I have an issue in my stylesheets when if a <p> tag is nested within a <li>, the numbering in PDF output is offcentre as above, even though the styles are the same. (If the text is directly within the <li> tag its fine but this is not always possible.

Re: Should not "page-break-before: always;" work inside a DI
But those div.NoBreakInside have absolutely no effect when inserted in dropdown texts (which are actually divs, at the end).
Let's hope the bug fix (if any) corrects this all.
That sounds like a separate issue. I'd recommend documenting it and creating a separate bug report.
Cheers & hope this ...

Git and remote branches
When I use the Branch button in Flare, I can only see local git branches. To see remote ones, I need to exit Flare, run the command "git ls-remote" to see those remote branches, then check them out locally also via the command line. Is there a way of doing this within Git?

Re: Selector help - avoiding double borders
You'll have to try it (in the middle of stuff in Flare so can't give it a go myself) but if you add the following to your stylesheet BELOW your pre and code style definitions, that should do the trick.

Re: Wrapping Code in PDF Output
Thanks for the summary above. It is very frustrating that <pre> in PDF files seems to almost but not quite work. Wrapping happens most of the time but random lines will extend a character or two beyond the border in places. Manual tweaking is not really an option since we auto-import/convert a lot ...

Is there really no proper fix for this? It's a problem developers have highlighted in our documentation that variable names containing underscores are breaking across two lines.

We currently can publish projects individually as online help, but there is now a requirement to merge them so search can be performed across them. I'm following the instructions in:

Spellcheck broken?
Has anyone hit a problem where their spellchecker seems broken? I can run spellcheck from the right-hand pane and "Spell Check Complete" is displayed with no obvious misspellings inserted being caught. If I turn on "Spell Check While Typing", nothing happens either.

Re: Producing _editable_ Powerpoint slides from Flare
It turns out the solution is easier than I thought - Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not Reader) can indeed export an editable Powerpoint presentation. So I set up page layouts and a stylesheet to match our current PowerPoint look and feel, generate to PDF, then open that and convert to PowerPoint.

Hi Paul,
This looks like an image resolution thing. I copied your layout and added a background with dpi of 150 and got a shrunken image on the layout. On a hunch I changed the dpi of the image to 96 and resaved. Because my layout was open it didn't update, so I aligned the background left, then ...

Page Layout: Background does not fit page
I've created a page layout with the following measurements:
Custom width: 720px
Custom height: 1280px
Orientation: Landscape
Margins: none
(In this instance, Flare uses the _height_ of the page as the width measurement, which is confusing.)

Re: How is max-height in print calculated?
max-width: auto is invalid as there's no auto - so I'm guessing you should use max-width: none
I don't know if that'll fix the problem; but if you currently have a max-width set on the img tag, then it'd be inherited by img.longfigure.
Ah, I had thought it was auto.

How is max-height in print calculated?
By default, our image size in print is set to max-width = 90%. This works except for the occasional very long graphic.
So to accommodate those, I added a class style img.longfigure, with:
* max-width=auto;
* max-height=90%
This almost works as expected, except that the length of the graphic, even ...

Retaining spaces/formatting of code blocks
Previously I had set up a <div> CSS style for code blocks, and also a separate <div> element to use for indentation.
However, a issue highlighted by internal/external clients was that those indents weren't not retained if the code was copied from Flare PDF output.
