Re: Videos Downloading
For other mp4 encodings it looks as that it is necessary to have Apple Quicktime installed for a browser to display the video inline.

Adding Multimedia mp4
Hello. I'm trying to add an mp4 video file to my project and there are several issues. First, when I go to find the file I get pop-up errors.
The first error seems related to Quick Time, however, QuickTime is not supported or installed on my computer.

Re: Expanding text issues
I'm having this issue as well. It seems to happen for me when there's more text such as several sentences that forces it to drop below the header. If it's one sentence that fits on the same line it doesn't do it. I'm not using bookmarks so I know that can't be the issue. I'm still trying to fix it.

Re: What are File Tags?
Does anyone know if file tags can be associated with PDFs? I have some PDFs as external resources in my web output. When I try to add or update file tags for a PDF, I get a crash error. I've sent this error report to Madcap several times but no reply.

Re: Build Failed: The "too long" error
What would suddenly be causing this error? I have not changed the file path or the name of the project. The error doesn't specify if it's a specific topic/file within the project. The last successful build was a few days ago and nothing changed since then.

Re: divs, float, image placement, and text wrapping
You could use float:left on both, but just use clear:right on the right-hand one.
If you're wanting a more structured layout, perhaps create a div for a 'row', which contains both your 'column' divs.
Then set clear:both on the row.

Re: divs, float, image placement, and text wrapping
A related question, I've been using a float left div to place an image and text or list items side by side. I refer to this article for how to place divs side by side.

Thanks for the response. I did try that and that was selected in other PDF outputs but am still getting the same spacing issue, no change. Is there anything else I can try?

Page break spacing
Any time there's a page break in my PDF output, there's extra spacing at the top of the page. Is there a css style I need to change to reduce the amount of space? It's doing this for any page break no matter if it's a heading style, paragraph, list item, etc. I think I could fit more on a page if I ...

HTML5 Skin TOC Style
In one of the HTML5 skins, there's a TOC Entry style for book icons. I use a style for PDF topics that uses an icon to indicate it's a PDF, and a different icon for "books". When I first open the landing page/introduction of the web help, the PDF icon appears for all of the books at first even ...

Re: Need X-Refs to link to H3 headings
What would the print mc-format need to be for an h3 context-sensitive xref? I see a format where you can xref the first instance of an h3 in a topic but not a subsequent h3.kwag_myers wrote:If the topic you're linking to has an H3 heading, it should be listed in the Bookmarks (which is a bit misleading, imho).

Re: divs, float, image placement, and text wrapping
Hi Dave,
Yes, it does look okay in the preview, so this must be a bug in Flare V10. I wonder if this is fixed in Flare V11? There are some other issues going on with this (see example images below).

If you have responsive output enabled, do you still need to set a max-width in the body?

Re: divs, float, image placement, and text wrapping
Thank you! I'm having another issue. I have two divs floating and in the print version it is showing correctly, however, in the web version, I can't see any thing past the first line. Is this a bug or did I format wrong?

Re: Alternative to requiring users clear their browser cache
There are a couple of ways to fix it. It the target in Flare in the Advanced tab you can add meta tags such as:
<META http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache" />
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache" />
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1" />

Thank you! I was able to figure this out:

PDF_TOC_Entry_Skin.png
Then, in the Properties of the individual TOC entry you want to display the PDF icon, select ...

I use Flare 10 and still get this error in every skin I open. I'm not previewing anything in a browser, I'm just in the HTML5 skin editor so not sure what browser version has to do with the error.

Re: How do you change icons on TOC?
Does anyone know how to delete a TOC style class? I was able to delete it in the skin but the old style classes I no longer use and have deleted are still appearing in the TOC properties, so I have to keep remembering which one is the correct style class to choose.
