Re: Problem with title-linked TOC entries + conditions
When I encountered this problem, I decided to include the topic in the web help, even though it's pointless for any purpose besides navigation, and exclude it from the search results.

Another solution to this might be to bring an external site into a Flare topic using an iframe.

Re: Non TOC topics appear in Search
There's also an option to just exclude a particular topic from the search, but not exclude it from the output, so any links to it won't be broken.
In the Properties of the topic, on the Topic Properties tab, there's a check box labeled "Include topic when full-text search database is generated ...

Re: How can I mash my projects together effectively?
Just so you have some idea of the scale of this project, my combined content folder includes 12,736 files, 5500 of which are topics.

How can I mash my projects together effectively?
Currently, my company publishes a bunch help systems, covering assorted different but related subjects. They live in different Flare projects, in part because the sheer volume of content would have made it highly impractical to keep them together a few years ago. Back then, we had an older version ...

Re: Help on Search Filters
There's a "Topics without concepts" report that you can run in Analyzer or Flare 2018 to identify topics where the authors have neglected to add any concepts tags. Helps you figure out who needs to be gently reminded to tag things.

Re: Creating scrolling web pages with multiple topics
With DITA you can 'chunk' topics together as a single page in the output. It sounds like you want to do a a similar thing with Flare. As far as I know, the only way to do this is to put every topic you want to 'chunk' into snippets, and then include those snippets inside topics as required.

If I am creating a new project in Flare, what template would I use to create Top Level navigation? Specifically, we want hyperlinked alphabet letters to appear (A-Z) at the top of glossary. Thank you!

Re: Index and Glossary in Top Navigation template
The Elasticsearch option in Flare 2018 looks cool, but it looks like we have to give up the glossary tab we have in the tripane help if we want to use it. I suspect some users will miss having the glossary on a handy little tab. (If they'd never had it, they wouldn't think to ask for it, but I've ...

Re: 2017 R2 broke all of my TOCs
All the TOC items where the headings were switched out for text in my project were topics with snippets. Converting the snippets to text fixed the TOC entries, but they're snippets for a reason, so I'm going back to 2017 until this is fixed.

One further thing I've noticed...when I go to insert an image I usually see a preview of the selected image in the right-hand pane of the Insert Image dialog box. You *should* get what you want by doing that, Devjoe. It's entirely logical. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

Thanks, Dan! This was driving me nuts.
Note for people who might be referring to this thread in the future:
I also had to add "mc-pagenum-display: none" to my p.TOC style to get the page number to go away too.

Automatic page breaks inconsistent

This sometimes means that when someone compiles, they have to go through hundreds of pages of other people's work and take care ...

Do you have more than one condition tag set in your condition tag folder? I can imagine somehow ending up with duplicate condition tag sets and selecting the tag from the wrong one.

Here's one way to make your HTML5 Flare output into a valid SCORM object. (Not a fancy SCORM object that uses all the fun SCORM features - just something that a LMS will accept.)
1. Go to https://www.adlnet.gov/adl-research/scorm/scorm-2004-4th-edition and download "Official ADL SCORM API Wrappers ...

Re: Flare 12 "crashing" constantly
Here's two things I had to do:
1. Update ghostscript to 64bit.
2. Run the compatibility troubleshooter on Flare 12.
What operating system are you using? Vista, Win 7, 8, 10? They must be 64 bit.

We are also experiencing the slowness - opening a small project is taking forever. We did update to 64-bit Ghostscripts and my operating system is 64 bit. I think we will be going back to Flare 11 for the time being. We cannot work at this speed. Also, the folks in our group who bind to GIT are ...

Flare 12 "crashing" constantly
I just upgraded to Flare 12 and I'm constantly getting notices that Flare has crashed. (What it seems to mean is that the action I was attempting failed, not that the whole thing went down in flames.)
