Re: HTML5 Add Version Number
If it has to be in the skin, you can use javascript in the Topic Toolbar tab of the skin to add javascript to display the text you want. But for styling it, unless you choose to use one of the style names MadCap already uses for other skin elements, you'll just have to do that from the javascript as ...

Keep in mind that tags which are neither included nor excluded are implicitly included. For your situation, all you needed to do was exclude intro-exclude to get what you wanted.

Re: Help needed with the styles in the HTML5 tripane output
The search pane is quite a trick, since it's not any of the HTML files you deliver but just HTML that is generated by the javascripts which perform the search.

Re: Numbered lists don't align correctly around floating ima
Without the code that is generating this I can't begin to guess what is causing that overlap. But you might get better results if you move the graphic before the numbered list, rather than inside it, so the whole list can get pushed over to the right, rather than just the contents of one list item.

Re: Breadcrumb trail contents
I don't use breadcrumbs, but I found a solution to keep TOC sync working when a topic is used more than once in the TOC, and maybe this would work for your breadcrumbs too.
In your repeated topics like Concepts, put some bookmarks at the top of the topic and link each TOC entry to a different one ...

You might try creating a context-sensitive help map number for this topic and make the link in the word document go there as in compassuserguide/?cshid=1

Re: Unordered list without bullets CSS
It sounds like a bad idea but with all the mess people are having with the pre tag, and especially if you are managing indentation that deep, I can understand how you might want to do this. Maybe this:
ul.indentedcode
{
list-style-type: none;
font-family: Courier; /* or your favorite, also set ...

Re: Nested Snippets - pdf-Output - Limit?
Is the combined nested snippet so long that it doesn't fit on a page? It sounds like Flare isn't letting the content wrap to the next page. Exactly why that's happening, I'm not sure; I've never tried to use snippets that long. It could be the snippets themselves or it could be the tables. Check for ...

Re: Newly added heading styles not showing
HTML doesn't actually have h7 and h8 tags. The usual workaround for this is to make subclasses of h6 called h6.heading7 and h6.heading8.
If, for some reason, you have headings this deep included in a table of contents, set the mc-heading-level property on these to 7 and 8 to get them to show up ...

Re: Print folder name in body document
I think you are asking to have the names of unlinked books from the TOC to appear in your PDF output. To do this, in the PDF target, on the Advanced tab, check Inject headings for unlinked books in TOC.

Re: Best way to conditionally color variable text
To do this with variables, just wrap the phone number variable in a span tag which contains the color variable in its style attribute.
If you have any problems, call the helpdesk at <span style="color:[%=Vars.HelpDeskColor%];"><MadCap:variable name="Vars.HelpDeskNumber" /></span>.
This works ...

Re: Suppress the page numbering on some items in TOC?
What you probably really want to do is define a class on the H1 tag which goes into a modified TOC entry style which does not have the page number. But it doesn't work that way. There are just 9 TOC level styles and the mc-heading-level determines which one you get.
So another idea is to make the ...

I don't think you actually need to use Advanced. You just need to not use Include .

The best thing to do at this point is to open up the output, right-click the links, and use Inspect Element (just Inspect in the latest Chrome) to see how the formatting is being chosen for these elements.

Re: Suggestions required-2 different documents
You can also do this with variables. It is more effort to set up (for each verb, you have to define a variable, assign it multiple values, and select a value for it in each target), but it is easier to apply throughout your project if you have 100 uses of "is displayed" and not many different verbs ...
