Why are effects unavailable?
I rarely use Mimic, but I have to use the blur effect in a video and currently only Clip is enabled. I put a rectangle over the area I want to blur, but all effects except Clip are grayed out. I will admit I have been having problems with it thinking I'm unregistered, so that could be it, but I'd ...

Flare Help with React App?
I see this question has been asked, but not fully answered, but that was in 2017....
Is there a way to build CSH HTML5 or any Flare output into a React application? The developers at my company are highly skeptical. Thank you!

Custom Numbered List PDF Output
Hi. I was wondering if Flare gives you any way to create a numbered list where the numbers are white and have circle behind them, like the attached. numbered_list.png

Custom toolbar button for versions
I am doing API documentation, and need to have separate help systems for each version of the API. What I want to do is add a custom toolbar button that allows the user to switch between versions. I think conceptually, it is identical to the switch language button. However, I haven't been able to ...

Pipe Character (%7C) in URL
I have online help available through an application that uses Apache Tomcat as the web server. Opening the help file is not a problem, but if you navigate through the Table of Contents (e.g., you're on the starting help page, then click on a TOC item in left pane), the URL contains a pipe character ...

TOC with Linked Projects
I'm building an HTML5 project that has a TOC that links to different project's .flprj file to merge the two at runtime. It says it builds fine, but when I open the output, the TOC just has the loading status indicater in the left pane and the actual TOC never appears. I seem to remember seeing this ...

Re: PDF TOC Page# format as 000(chapter#)-(page#)?
Hi. I'm doing this same thing with regard to the TOC and {chapnum} - {pagenum}. However, when I do this last solution with {chapnum} - {n} in the Printed Output section's "Reset to" field in the Table of Contents, all of my actual page numbers throughout the chapters become Chapnum - Chapnum ...

Data at root level is invalid is back
OK, so I frequently got the "Data at root level is invalid" error with regard to TOCs checked out of Perforce. However, I am converting a project from DITA to Flare native and while that project was in Perforce, I insured that the project created via import was not. I'm outputting to PDF. Now, if I ...

I used the drag and drop method to pull the content files into the TOC. I'm using Flare 9.1.2.

Re: Can't Edit my TOC
Just to add some information, I've created a new TOC two or three times, and I always get the same result.

Can't Edit my TOC
I created a TOC and now need to edit the properties to set chapter starts, etc. When I right-click an entry and select Properties, I get the message: Failed to load persistent dialog settings. Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.
