I've never put animated gifs in my Flare projects -- in micro content or anywhere else -- so I don't have any more advice to offer.

Yes, that is a common practice. But don't have the heading be in the snippet. Have each topic have its own "live text" heading.

Yes, that is the expected behavior. The Previous and Next buttons allow the user to step up and down the TOC, aka, the menu structure in HTML5 ouptut. Topics need to be on the TOC is order for those buttons to work for those topics.

My only reservation about my Listapalooza ideas now three years later is that not all of my ideas might be accessibility compliant. I definitely no longer recommend using paragraphs with auto-numbers in lieu of true <ol>s, as I said earlier in this thread.
