Re: auto numbering help
Yeah, it seems quite tricky, especially since it looks like you'd have to expand the TOC items to modify them, apparently. This thread has some related information and a sample partial script for expanding the TOC items, which could be a reference if someone else has a similar problem or if someone ...

Re: auto numbering help
I'm just spitballing here, but it may be possible to have a JQuery script execute on page load and cycle through and add the appropriate auto-numbers to the Contents tab items. I have no idea if such a thing is actually possible/practical or not, but it just may be doable. This would save all the ...

Re: Incoming bozo alert: condition tags.
Regarding the "Exclude Unlinked FIles" option, I'm a huge believer. I am currently maintaining 5 different webhelps, and my WebHelp system hasn't even gone live yet! Tagging individual files would be a nightmare, especially since I am using only Basic condition tags. I suspect that the "Exclude ...

Re: Indenting a paragraph.
Ah, yes, that would be the "correct" answer, thanks Choccie! I had forgotten that was how I wanted to do it. I've used complex selectors a little before to set up my heading levels and bullet lists.
I'll definitely take a look at those links and implement that technique when I hit my next slow time.

Re: Flare don't want numbering images across different topic
I think what you're looking for is setting up global autonumbering, instead of individual topic autonumbering.
It's pretty simple to set up: just add a "G" in front of your existing autonumber format. For instance, instead of "F: Figure {n+}", you would use "GF: Figure {n+}". You can also set it up ...

Re: Conditions and Sanity
I have a pretty complicated setup, and I've managed to get by using the Basic conditioning only so far. I don't want to lose my friendly GUI with the sheer number of conditions that I have set up. I absolutely agree with using Include very sparingly, if ever. Making that change has allowed me to ...

Re: Tricky image alignment and paragraph question?
I'll just chime in with another vote for tables. I'm sure you can do that sort of thing without them if you have a black belt in CSS, but unless you have time to burn and you're looking for a great CSS learning experience, I'd just use an invisible table and move on with your life.

Re: Indenting a paragraph.
So, in my project,I have three main indentation levels: none, a small indent, and a large indent. Normally text is flush left, then if it is a step it is indented a bit, and if it is a sub-step it is indented more. Currently, I take Nita's current approach. The normally indented text belongs in a p ...

Re: Conditional Tag Sets
Yes, I absolutely use conditional tag sets. In fact, I really really wish there were Snippet sets.
One thing that it's good for is making sure that a target has only one of a particular sub-set of tags applied to it. For example, I have two Conditional tag sets called "Document Type" and "Not ...

Re: Autonumbers and HTML 5 Output?
So, I got very excited by the "Replace with Computed Entries" option. However, it appears that the WebSkin TOC uses the topic's H1 title as I wanted, but that the HTML5 Mini Toc Proxies are still using the actual text of the TOC entry, not the computed entry.

Zendesk and Flare Output
Hello,
We use ZenDesk and Flare, and I saw this article which mentions displaying Flare web help output within an iframe in Zendesk.
Has anyone tried this? Being able to use existing ZenDesk user logins and company information to control access to the Flare web help content would be a godsend.

Update: Got it.
So, yeah, it was probably a Flare bug of some kind. I made a new skin from the default, copied it into my existing product, and manually copied over all of my skin settings. The icons now properly stay put when the item is hovered or selected.

Re: HTML5 Skin Navigation tab navigation items disappearing
Well, I've made some progress here. The problem is that for whatever reason, when the user hovers or mouses over the navigation panel item, it is overriding the existing background image with a broken image link. This seems to be because the Styles medium stylesheet is completely missing the CSS ...

Also, does anyone have any idea how to format the stupid show/hide navigation arrow in the HTML5 skin? Using Firebug, I can change just about everything about it except for the color of the arrow in the middle. Of course, that is exactly what I want to change.

HTML5 Skin Navigation tab navigation items disappearing
So, this is driving me a little nuts. The navigation tab usually has these nifty little closed book, open book, and page icons to show the user if that item has any child items. However, when you click on it or hover over it, these navigational aid icons vanish.

Spellchecker woes
So, I'm very disappointed with the Flare (10.1) Spellchecker. I'm having the following issues, and was wondering if other people were encountering similar issues or had any tips for resolving them:
The spellchecker flags my "1.1" autonumbering as a repeated word , and all I can do is "skip" each ...

Yes, I've also had issues with web previews. Content that is inside divs for a drop-down toggler do not display with their formatting at all, and just show up as plain text. In the final HTML5 output the formatting is fine.
