Importing non-breaking space from Markdown
Anyone know how to make this work? I find putting ' ' in the Markdown just results in a plain old ' ' in the topic.

Re: Forcing imports to run at the start of a build?
Thanks, I'm getting it too. And it isn't related to a particular upgrade. It was working on 2021r1 and then it just stopped. And the only thing I did was put a master stylesheet in the global properties (which I had to do to enable the 'Create new stylesheet' checkbox. Which doesn't work, anyway...)

Re: Cannot clear "Create new stylesheet' check box
I raised a bug today too, and got this reply:

Re: Cannot clear "Create new stylesheet' check box
Since I want it to create a new stylesheet anyway, I wasn't originally worried, as I'd rather have that than add a 'Meta' comment to my main stylesheet at every import, but it seems that although the greyed box is checked, it's not actually doing that. It's behaving as if it's unchecked, and writing ...

I wonder if you ever solved this - it's just happened to me out of the blue. Seems to be across all my projects, too. Irritating.

Importing and ToCs
I have a set of Markdown files which I have linked for import, and set to re-import at build.
I notice that changing them can result in the ToC also being offered for overwrite, when Flare lists the files that have changed.

Thanks - it seems to be something about the gradient. Lose that, and the icon shows.

DIV background works in HTML5, not PDF
This works to do the attached note design in HTML5, but in PDF I get the border but not the 2 things in the 'background' - anyone know why that might be?
div.Note

background: "url(note.png) 20px 12px no-repeat, linear-gradient(to right, #D6E3F4 60px, white 61px)";

Madcap IMG popups and attribute selectors
Because I can't get class references into the Markdown sources I'm being given, I have to style screenshots by getting the developers to suffix the filenames like this: <img src="001a_homepage.png#constrain">, then in the CSS, use
img[src$="constrain"]

max-width: 80%;

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
Very sure! The source HTML only calls the table's class and stylesheet as in the Flare table style.

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
Oh well, it doesn't look possible. Flare takes everything in the table style, including the margins of the P tags, and repeats them as inline styles, which would override anything I did in the global stylesheet.

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
Thank you for that insight - that's worth looking into. I can imagine Flare's applied loads of complex overlapping CSS, but I'm also confident I can untangle it!

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
That's not what I meant by 'conditional'. I mean that where 'table tr:last-of-type ul' may work, 'table.myclass tr:last-of-type ul' won't. It might look like it should select 'the UL in the last row of tables of the 'myclass' class', but that's not what it's achieving, because the extra condition of ...

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
No, I'd tried that, and it doesn't. I think it's something to do with the class aspect; that it doesn't work in what looks like the obvious way. Somehow classes don't play nice with pseudo-selectors in conditional selection. Unfortunately the class is the only way I have to distinguish the tables I ...

Re: :last-child or :last-of-type selector help
I'm sorry for not adding this before, I thought I could make it less cumbersome a q! Here's two simplified tables, from a project where the default bottom margins on P's and UL/OL's put extra space between the last tag in a 'myclass' table's last TD in a row, so that the distance to the row's bottom ...

:last-child or :last-of-type selector help
I have ULs, OLs, and P tags in the TD tags of the last row and cell of table.MyClass, all with a bottom margin. How would I use last-child or last-of type to select them so I can suppress their bottom margins?

Table width precedence
Why would a table with an inline style setting of 100% width (and which has a 1em margin on all sides in its table style), do the following, when there's 1em of right padding on the body style:
* Have its right border right up against the right-side window edge, and

Proxy server woes
I'm finding I'm being prompted for proxy credentials every time I start Flare 2018 or build output. Presumably because Flare 2018 expects the proxy server to be a single, static thing. But here, it seems we use something called 'the PAC file method' which load-balances servers, so that the proxy ...

Re: Build Terminated - "Writing search entry cache..."
I've recently started getting this on some of my site builds, but despite the progress bar staying yellow and stating 'Terminated' as others have said above, when I look at the build log (and as far as I can see, the output), it looks like the build completed successfully; there's no obvious ...

Moving Flare to new user
I've got a user running Flare 11, and want to take it off them, and use their maintenance contract to give someone else the latest version of Flare instead. I'm conscious that a) Madcap have them on record as the user of this copy and b) the activation keys are different. We are entitled to the ...
