Re: Lists in shaded boxes
Thank you for the suggestion. I did find that bracketing the whole block in a div did force shading where it wasn't inheriting, but it also forced weird spacing at the top (too much) and the bottom (not enough) that I couldn't seem to alter. Also, inconsistent changes were happening to indentation ...

Lists in shaded boxes
I’m having a lot of trouble trying to put ordered and unordered lists in note / tint boxes.
I’m starting from the ‘p.Examplehead / p.ExampleMiddle / p.Example’ styles in Madcap’s HTML5 template. These provide a neat mechanism for a tint box where three style classes have top and bottom margins and ...

Login prompt when opening Office files
Has anyone seen the issue of a HTML5 Flare site on an IIS8.5 intranet server displaying the Windows Security 'Connect To...' login dialog box prompting them for their Windows password, after they have clicked a ToC link to a Word/Excel file in the project, and selected 'Open' from the browser's Open ...

Spaces in filenames
The way the 'Add File' dialog box defaults the first heading to the file name, has always made it convenient to use filenames with spaces in them (perhaps TOO convenient...). Given that I'm starting to produce output for webspace, would the world recommend:

Numbering problem with ‘Use TOC depth for heading levels’
I have a PDF target which needs to use ‘x.x.x’ numbering.
For this reason, my stylesheet includes this in the ‘print’ medium:
h1 {mc-heading-level: 1; mc-auto-number-format: '{chapnum} ';}
h2 {mc-heading-level: 2; mc-auto-number-format: '{chapnum}.{n+} ';}

Could you not use Find and Replace with 'FInd in source code' and 'in content folder' set, and 'Replace All':
<MadCap:relationshipsProxy />
with
<MadCap:relationshipsProxy MadCap:conditions="Default.ScreenOnly" />

Re: Updating Flare in an SCCM environment
I'm sure that the support people could take this msi file off me and get it installed, but I still don't feel confident to go ahead with 'Download Updates', because I don't know whether doing so will:
a) Automatically try to save the msi to a temporary folder then run it, without giving me the ...

Updating Flare in an SCCM environment
My copy of Flare has started prompting me to download v11.1.0.
I am reluctant to OK this because I'm not clear whether it will:

Re: Add Custom Content to Header
I'm trying to move from a design which originally had a custom logo in tri-pane HTML5 help, to some custom text as per this thread. As you know, the default Flare behaviour is that the logo is to the left in tri-pane view, and centred when the browser is shrunk to tablet or mobile width.

Re: Watermark in PDF output
Thanks everyone - I had arrived simultaneously at something like Choccie's idea, but dorcutt's refinement seems to me to have the potential to replace the watermark that I'd set up for HTML5 output too, and that would be a benefit; to have a single way to flag topics that would cover both types of ...

Re: Watermark in PDF output
Being relatively new to Flare and with no old Flare content to maintain, I understood that Master Pages were a 'legacy' sort of thing, so I haven't been involved with them. Also, the Printed Output Guide says they are for Word and Framemaker output and not PDF. But I'll have a look into them, thank ...

Re: Import project into subfolder
Thanks I will look into that, but now I think about it, I can achieve a workable structure with the legacy stuff one level below Content, so that's not so bad - it turns out that that is isolated enough for what I might need to do. As a relative Flare newbie I'm a bit wary of GPL, just in case ...

Import project into subfolder
I have a Flare project created from old Word legacy content, which I'd like to import into my main Flare project. But although I'll make its topics navigable via the main ToC, I want to segregate it from the main Content folder. That is, to have a 'Legacy' folder alongside 'Content', below which ...

Double-check of Server-based search requirements
On p146 of the HTML5 Guide, which covers 'Including non-XHTML Files in HTML5 Search', the second step is:

Such a target wouldn't give me the same functionality as a modern HTML5 target.

Re: Emailing HTML5 URLs
I've done that, it doesn't work. Like I say, a path entered as you describe like:
... Default.htm#folder/topicfile.htm%3FTocPath%3Dfolder%7C_____4
When clicked will just open the browser at
... Default.htm

Emailing HTML5 URLs
The fact that each topic has a unique URL is useful, primarily because it enables me to send a link to a reader. It would be more so, if the link I sent was clickable. But I'm finding that Outlook's 2007 hyperlink feature ignores everything after '....default.htm#'. That is, the parameters which ...

Thanks all - I'll have a try with that. And hello Paul!
For those wondering, we worked together 15 years ago. And with me doing only a few years of CSS and next to no Flare during that time, Paul is clearly way ahead of me!

Re: Multiple index terms not working in Webhelp
I have no idea if it's significant, but picking up on what you said about javascript:void(0); being normal as on my Related Topics popups, I notice that on the not-working index links, it's
javascript:void( 0 );
i.e. with spaces round the 0.
Hmm....

Re: Multiple index terms not working in Webhelp
I'll try to find other environments, although the problem will remain that IE is what the readership has. The Webhelp skin editor confirms what you say - it shows styles for an Index Entry Popup, which looks very like the 'Related Topics' one I use in topic bodies (which works!).
