Tables - inconsistancies - column widths and line thickness
I have a table with defined column widths and line thicknesses. I've inserted the same table 5 times - the only difference is the data in the table. What's causing me a headache is the fact that the lines vary in thickness between the tables and the column widths do too! Can anyone advise me as to ...

Re: Non-breaking characters
Just checking back to see if anyone has any suggestions. I have lots of terms such as "]Display" that I need to write about, and have a line break after the right bracket is just plain wrong. I've tried inserting non-breaking zero-width spaces/word joiners (U+2060 / ), I've played with "nowrap" and ...

Re: non-breaking space is breaking
I'm having issues with this too. I can't get Flare 10 to honour irrespective of whether I enter it directly in XML or use the shift+space option. I've also tried a nowrap class but every time the output is still breaking when I generate the pdf. Has anyone else had this? I'm not inside any other ...

Re: Master index creation
Thanks ajturnersurrey. However, I'm completely new to Flare...the facility might be there by default but how do I produce it? I have a single project with several dozen individual pdfs, each with an index. I can't work out how to produce a new pdf document called "Master Index" that contains an ...

Master index creation
I have a single project from which I generate multiple pdfs (as well as other targets, but it's the pdfs I'm interested in right now). I would like to produce a master index for all these in addition to the individual indexes that each pdf has. I'm flailing in the dark rather in trying to create ...

Index Links: initial separators?
Is it possible to have leading separators for "see" index links? At the moment I have a style of "span.SeeIndex" with "mc-reference-initial-separator: '.';" and "mc-leader-format: 'dot';" set but this isn't doing the job.

Index references that shouldn't link anywhere
I'm finally at the stage of adding my index entries and I can't work out how to add one of the things I want. Basically I want to have a statement that doesn't link to anything. For example:

Modifiers........
Syntax.........
[i] for specific functions, see individual entries ...

Thankyou, works a treat!
Not sure whether to be really happy that it's sorted or to curl up in a ball and cry that I wasted so much time when it's such a straightforward fix...either way though, very grateful

Been battling this for days now and would love some help. It's a bit tricky to explain but please do bear with me as I'm now desperate!

That's sounds promising Nita but I'm not sure exactly to set that in the css. Using span isn't one of the format options in the auto-numbering format (as {b} is)...can you give me some more info please?

Condition tags on index keywords [RESOLVED]

I've set up an auto numbering system for my tables, in which:
mc-auto-number-format: 'T: {b}Table {chapnum}-{n+}: {/b}';
This works perfectly in terms of numbering. However, I've got an issue when cross-referencing a table. I've got the following in my css:
MadCap|xref.table
{
mc-format ...

Now on to the line spacing and adding the rest of the index terms.

Re: Index: getting superimposed columns!
I'm going to be all arrogant now and say that I might be getting the hang of this Flare thing – I'd done exactly that (and it works) before you posted!
Befuddled by these page numbers though; I've set the attribute to right, left and centre and it makes no difference.

Re: Index: getting superimposed columns!
I've removed the extra bits I did (specifically, I've reset the index proxy and all the index styles from 2-column back to default). I also set the alignment to right for the index styles (the mc-leader-align property) and I now get my rows of dots stretching right across the page! Not sure if that ...

I need to be able to apply this style to words that already have a character style.
For example, I need to apply it to paragraph text that is Calibri size 12, table text (another paragraph style) that is Calibri size 11 and a code sample inline with the text (a character style) that is APL385 font ...
