Re: Twitter/Facebook Buttons

Yes, of course you may remove buttons you don't want using the Theme Designer:
For themes based upon Tabs or Accordion, choose edit in toolbars.topicTop, for responsive themes either toolbars.left or toolbars.right.

Re: Twitter/Facebook Buttons

Hi Rob,

Twitter Button lets you share the url that is currently open in your NetHelp. You, resp your audience may need to sign in to your/their Twitter account, resp. Facebook account before anything happens. D2Hs user interface does not offer any options to modify behaviour of these buttons. I ...

Re: Help output first page

Hi Sepp,

DocToHelp uses the first topic it founds in the contents as first page of the target. You may use the topics pane to mark an arbitrary topic as "Default" topic.

Hi LenaLo,

are you able to open and compile the sample projects that come with V4?
What paragraph names are shown in your project for Heading 1, Heading 2,...?? (See project tab, paragraph styles. They are usually locked)

Re: conditional Text and variables

Hi,
DocToHelp "knows" to types of variables:
a) Pure Text Variables (= text without formatting)
b) Rich Content Variables (= formatted content of arbitrary length)

While type "a" is stored in a project, type "b" is stored in Word documents and can be shared between different projects.
Both types ...

Re: Importing a glossary from word

Hi,

my idea may sound weird, still it's rather simple: I suggest to use Doc-To-Help for creating a Glossary in Word. The following steps are necessary:
1. Create a new project with contains Doc-To-Help's default contents. This includes a document named Glossary.
2. Copy your Glossary document into ...

Re: Search box does not support german umlaut in Firefox bro

Hi Alfred,

So, the issue with German umlaute in HTML 5 is caused by Flare 9, isn't it? I suggest to make a test with Flare 12 as soon as possible, for your parts as well as those that belong to the external software components.

Kind regards,

Re: Search box does not support german umlaut in Firefox bro

Hi,

I tested it with FireFox 46 and the two HTML5 results I have published with Flare 12, could not reproduce your issue. Maybe, it's caused by your newer FireFox version or it's caused by your Flare version. You can figure it out via the links from
www.mikrotaurus.de/Flare/WebHelp-Beispiele

Hope ...

Re: The home, or landing page set to last import

Hi,

maybe, my last reply was not clear enough.
When you have a TOC that contains all topics you want to appear, mark the topic that should be your "landing page" as Default Topic.
Your Topic window then should show the mark as in my screenshot. Another compilation is then necessary.

Kind regards ...

Re: The home, or landing page set to last import

Hi,

a D2H user may specify which topic should be default one. Therefore, right-click the topic in the topics windows and select "Default Topic". This topic may be created as an overview with links to other topics, created manually or by D2H's automatic.
If you need more advice, it is necessary to ...

Re: Error output in PDF

Hi Adsy,

the error code comes from Windows and it does not help. Best is to take a look into your variables!
If you have more than one Rich Content variable files it may help to copy all their contents into an Excell sheet, and sort them by first column.

Hi Madlen,

does D2H V3 show the same user defined theme location as your old D2H version?
Then it might help to change its location, at least temporaly, create a new theme in this new location with the theme wizard. Then copy your old theme to that new location. If images are missed in your theme ...

Hello,

Steve is right, with his advice to share documents in several projects. If jetboy2k or any other DocToHelp user wants to re-use parts of documents, no matter how large or smal they are, in more than one document they can do this by variables. A document with Rich Text variables should help ...

Hi Sepp,

DocToHelp has several options to create page breaks in manual output. The one that seems to fit best for you is to be found in the D2H's Help Target Dialog:
For manual targets in section "Advanced" there is a dropdown field labelled "Section break": Here you may alter the default setting ...

D2H has different templates for source documents, printed manual targets listed on page 25, 26, 27, and online targets (see p. 28).
For printed manual targets D2H has more than one template since many years. These templates are complementary to similar named source templates. Complementary ...
