Re: Side Nav: Long TOC items run into toggle icon
Hi,
in Navigation Skin you may find styles for Side Navigation Menu with seperate styles for level 1 ... level 4. I would reduce left margin and / or enlarge size for side menu.

Hi,
error Code 800a9c68 is hard so resolve, unless you can undo your last changes.
Please try a complete new Project with less Contents but the same templates. This is to find out whether the issue is caused by a template or one of your source documents.

Re: File of customized TOC that I can back up?
Hi Tina,
Doc-To-Help stores all project-related information in its project file with extension .d2h. This file is updated through every compilation of a target.
If you backup this file only, there might other information got lost when you copy it back. This depends on how you work with your project ...

Re: Add HTML source files to project?
Hi Mary,
here is what I would try in addition to my last suggestion:
open an xml document created by DocToHelp,
copy its meta data and header into the html file you want to add to the D2H Project,
then modify file extension to xml and exchange it with the converted Word document.

Re: Add HTML source files to project?
Hi Mary,
I only know a workaround that still works for XML files with Version 5:
1. create a Word document that has the same file name (except its extension) you want to add as XML file.
2. let Doc-To-Help concert it into an XML file.
3. replace this XML file in your documents folder by the one you ...

Hi Michelle,
sorry for my late reply. I assume you work with Flare now, in a project that was imported from DocToHelp, right?
You might be able to add missing titles in Flare, but I am not sure whether Flare's Output will be compatible with D2H's Output.

Hi,
your D2H Version didn't know anything about current Firefox versions. I assume that this is the reason for your issue.
BTW: current D2H does not support the same NetHelp as Version 2009.

What do you mean with "Word documents are missing" ?? If you do not have a complete DocToHelp Project it might with worth looking into targets that are complete.

Hi,
as for getting the Content into a Flare Project it could be done by importing it as Word document(s), either from the source files in DocToHelp or from a Manual created with DocToHelp.

Hi,
D2H has to create different file names for every topic in a NetHelp. It creates file names automatically, yet you can specify a file name as a "Topic Property" inside the source of the topic. This will fix it "for ever".
To avoid changes of file names it is necessary to use Rebuild instead of ...

Hi,
Actually, DocToHelp does not have a "Find" function similar to Flare. One Workaround may be to export Project Settings (no Contents) to XML. What are you searching for?
If you want to Import a DocToHelp Project into Flare, you should have a customized TOC.

Re: Cross-references handling in- and out-of-TOC topics
Hi,
from my understanding, Flare only supports cross-references to a topic inside the same project. So, for PDF 2 I suggest to use hyperlink function in order to link to your online Knowledge Base. With appropriate conditions in Topic A this should be possible.

Hi,
Flare creates a flimp file when you Import a .doc or .docx file. Flare only imports files with content. Handling of styles is too different in Flare and Word, it does not make sense to import a Word template, a Word file with extension .dot or .dotx for formatting reasons.

Re: Responsive Help Theme-How to Change the Title Font Color
Hi Cynthia,
you may need to REBUILD your target with the changed theme, try a bigger value to see the change more clearly.
As for me, it works, for Title Header.
For Topic headers situation is somewhat complicated, depending on how your Word document is formatted.
