Thank you all, so much for this thread!
I was banging my head against why one of our Help systems posted events to GA, and one didn't. It was because one was under the old ga and the other was under gtag! My script was using ga when it should have used gtags.
EDIT: After updating my site with the ...

Re: Adding Feedback widget to topics
This is fantastic - exactly what I was looking for!
I've been able to implement most of it, but I can't get this part to display after the user clicks No and one of the options:
<div class="feedback-reason no-thanks">

Re: Skins and Fonts and Cross-OS compability - SOLVED
Weird, it was actually easier than I thought it was. In the Skin editor, I just added the list of fonts, separated by commas into the various fields. I honestly don't know why it hadn't worked earlier. 8)

Skins and Fonts and Cross-OS compability - SOLVED
I'm having a challenge with Tripane/ TopNav HTML5 skins and cross-platform compatibility.
Our skins are normally defined to use Calibri, which is a Windows default font.
Some percentage of our customers use Macs, which of course, don't have Calibri. Because it can't use Calibri, it defaults to ...

Chrome and Flare HTML5 double scrollbar behavior (Solved)
Has anybody noticed a very recent behavior (within last couple days of a Chrome patch) that you see scrollbars on HTML5 outputs (Tripane and TopNav) in places they never were before?
We noticed: TopNav side menu (miniTOC) now has a scrollbar, when its style sheet does not have any selectors defined ...

I remember from two MadCap webinars that Indexes and Glossaries ala tripane output are not supported by the TopNav HTML5 output.

Re: Flare V11 Crashing
Yuck, both of my Flare versions (11 and 12) started doing this yesterday. I'm in middle of going through the repair/uninstall/reinstall dance. No luck with a straight repair yet. Same exact error. Wonder if some .Net component was updated yesterday thanks to corporate policy pushes.
Sigh.

HMTL5 skin with TOC and Browse Sequence only
I've found that creating an HTML5 skin having only a TOC and a Browse Sequence (no glossary, no index or other elements) does not display either a navigation tab for Contents nor for Browse sequence.
If I define TOC as the default in the skin's General tab, all I see is the TOC.

PDF build embeds a font not installed on machine
We have Flare 11 (and/or Flare 12) on all of our team's machines.
Our Flare templates contain some custom corporate fonts that are used in headings and in title page in PDFs. These fonts are coded to allow embedding, so the problem isn't there.

Re: Flare 11 and Java updates and conditional highlighting
Thank you. That fixed it.
I cannot prove it was Java, because it was a colleague's machine. But it was obvious that Java updated and the writer immediately noticed a difference in the project she always works in every day. So it is still fishy.

Flare 11 and Java updates and conditional highlighting
Has anyone noticed a change in behavior in the Flare 11 XML editor with the highlighting of conditionalized text?

Re: Related Topics Controls and PDF output
Found my own answers I guess by reading Help
Yes, you can set the warning level on 40000 to ignore it.
And conditionalizing it to screenOnly stops the warnings altogether.
Weird that it's a warning at all. But there you go.

I have some single-sourced projects that output to online help and to PDF guides.

Re: Top Nav skin w/ menu proxy - issue with body content
Thank you! That helped a lot. And colors make the Annotation pop a little bit more than just plain gray box (snore). I think in combo with a max-width for @media screen for those divs, ought to do it.
P.S. I have had house bunnies and cats over the years, so it was a natural fit as a username.

Top Nav skin w/ menu proxy - issue with body content
Using the Top Nav HTML5 project.
I have a menu proxy for the miniTOC, floated to the right within a div.SideContent. OK so far.
For normal body text, it's ok - the body text flows around the sideContent div just fine.
We have some divs set up for Note:, Caution: annotation etc that are set up in ...
