Aron,
this might not be a lingo or a flare issue. This might be language- and/or output-related. Could you let me know what the languages involved are and what the output is supposed to be (HTML, PDF?)

Re: Auto-selection of language
Pelikano,
the only other thing I came up with is that you might not have the language support installed. If you have just English installed on your PC this might be an issue. I am using Windows 7 Enterprise and I have language packs for a number of languages installed. I would suggest that you ...

Re: project size limitations?
Felipe,
I cant really go into too much detail here but what I can tell you is that I am handling currently up to 24 languages depending on the project. Lets just say I have a rather large SQL environment for translation set up.

Re: project size limitations?
Felipe,
most of the limitations will depend on your computer. Case in point I just completed two 700K plus words projects. I have a 64 bit machine with 16 GB RAM and I did not run into an issue yet.

Re: FYI for Translation into Simplified Chinese
Felipe,
I dont know for sure. Based on my experience I would say it something to keep in mind for Japanese, but only a test can tell for sure. As for Russian, I dont see an issue because Russian is not a double-byte language.
However, as stated before, it should be tested and I do not know for ...

FYI for Translation into Simplified Chinese
See the link to the Flare issue with Simplified Chinese and Brackets. I posted it in the Printed Doc output section, but this is good to know for translation personnel.

Brackets and Simplified Chinese
As an FYI I just completed a 3000 pages set of docs in Flare in Simplified Chinese and when compiling for PDF we run into an interesting issue. When double-byte brackets are followed by a double-byte space, it will corrupt the output PDF. The workaround is to change all brackets from double-byte to ...

To answer your questions.
First of all for the MadCap File type, please disregard. My brain went south. The MadCap File type available for SDL Studio is only used when we dont use Lingo.

Re: Lingo-to-Trados errors
Which version of Trados is he/she using? I am using 2015 Pro SR2 and I dont have that issue. With Studio 2011 and 2014, I did occasionally run into this one, but that was a Trados issue. I am not using the MadCap file type anymore because for me that was the issue. Also, not meant to offend you, are ...
