Unfortunately, I'm not using MadCap Flare in my current role so can't test this out. I don't recall what our solution was at the time, but due to some feature renaming, we didn't have the issue longterm. Sorry I don't have anything more helpful!

Re: Error message when previewing topics in Flare 2019 R2
Came here because I was experiencing the same issue, and removing the TopicRatings button from the TopicToolbar skin fixed it.
At a glance, it doesn't appear removing this button has impacted anything, but I have not done a full build and publish yet. Any idea what kind of ramifications removing ...

Re: Error message when previewing topics in Flare 2019 R2
Just want to circle back here with the resolution in case anyone else runs into this problem.
From Support's very helpful guidance, the resolution was to open the TopicToolbar skin component and go to the Setup tab. From there, remove the TopicRatings button from the Selected column.

No luck, sadly. But thanks for the suggestion!ChoccieMuffin wrote:Have you tried the default fix-all? Close Flare, and in Windows Explorer delete the Analyzer and Output folders. When you re-open the Flare project the Analyzer folder is generated automatically.

Error message when previewing topics in Flare 2019 R2
Just curious if anyone else is running into a problem with previewing topics after upgrading to Flare 2019 R2? I'm getting the "Failed to compile document: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message now when I attempt to preview. I'm not really sure where to start to ...

Re: Spell Check - Misspelled Words Aren't Underlined
Just thought I'd post a follow up with the resolution in case someone else has this problem someday. I discovered that in a test project I didn't have the problem with spell check; however, all of the spell check/dictionary related settings seemed to be the same between the two projects. When I went ...

Spell Check - Misspelled Words Aren't Underlined
hi there! Over the last few weeks, my colleagues and I have noticed that misspelled words aren't underlined in Flare anymore. We have "Spell Check While Typing" selected but still no luck. Is there another setting somewhere that we need to enable? I couldn't find anything, but it's quite possible I ...

Close option at the end of a drop-down
I am wondering if there is a way to give a reader the option to close a drop-down at the bottom of the drop-down so they don't have to scroll back to the top? I'm writing a tutorial that has a few drop-down sections, so I might like to have the option for a reader to click "Close" (or something ...

Exceptions for search terms with "Not" in them
I'm wondering if there is a way to create an exception for certain search terms not to be treated as using Boolean operator? For example, a topic for a feature that includes "Not" in the title (for example, if you were writing about the Do Not Call registry or the Do Not Disturb mode on a phone ...
