Nav pane TOC vs topic mini-toc
I Know its a strange request, but does anyone know of a way that I can get items to display in a mini-toc but not in the toc in the nav pane? I've tried experimenting with TOC levels and style classes, but no matter what I do I end up with whatever is showing in the mini toc also appearing in the ...

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
OK, I think I have found something.
Inside my project I have run-time skins so users can switch from a light skin to a dark skin. If I remove these additional skins, the sidenav-wrapper disappears as is the wanted the behavior. If I dd them back in, and enable Generate all Skins in the target, the ...

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
Hi Dave,
I did this and saw the info below. Not sure what it means that the div.sidenav-wrapper entry is crossed out?
As you can see from the image pointing out behind the inspect tool, the pesky gray sidenav is still there.
Louise.

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
Thanks Dave. I checked, and these things are both set. So its a mystery.
I have imported some of the content from the larger project into the test project and it is working as I want it to, so there is obviously something particular to the larger project that is causing the problem. If I can import ...

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
Thanks all. It was working as I had hoped on my test project so I tried to apply it to another (bigger) project, and now I am back at the same place I started. No matter what I do, the side nav won't disappear.

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
I figured it out. The side-nav wrapper style didn't exist in my style sheet. Once I added it as a div style, the menu bar disappeared.
Can anyone tell me what the corresponding style for the header would be called? I'd like to also modify this on my home page if possible.
Thanks, Louise.

Re: NEW User - Turn off side nav for Home page topic
Hi Paul,
I've added the style info to the header but my side nav is still appearing. Wondering if there could be something else forcing it to appear?

Re: Light and dark themes for output
Update: I fixed item one (the alternate tables style), but still haven't been able to find a fix for item 2 (the drop down from the Select Skin icon in the toolbar). The problem is that whatever background and font colors I select in the SideNav Topic Toolbar skin apply to both my light and dark ...

Re: Light and dark themes for output
OK. I have set my body background and my fonts and so my dark theme is working as I would like it to, but there are two items that I'm having trouble with.
1. Tables. The table styles are in a separate CSS, so how do I cater for them? In my light theme they are light/dark alternate rows. This doesn ...

OK, stage 2.

Light and dark themes for output
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a way to provide an option for users of our HTML5 output (Side Nav, Flare 2019) to enable them to switch between light and dark themed versions of the content? I guess its sort of like enabling them to switch between skins.
Cheers, Louise.

Re: List of refreshed files received from SC
Thanks Nita, I thought that might be the case but hoped there might be some list hidden somewhere
We're using GIT, so I guess we could use SourceTree as you suggest. It would be nice to have this stored in Flare though - much simpler.

List of refreshed files received from SC
Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked before. I searched but couldn't find anything.
I am wondering if there is an easy way to see a list of the files that have been received after a pull from source control. The standard dialog lists the number of files received, but I'd really like to see a ...

Re: Glossaries - can I add columns?
Hey Nita,
Revisiting this old topic, I was wondering whether Flare now has a way to link those 'see also' items you may want to include in a glossary term definition? Otherwise, how do the users navigate to the definition of the 'see also' term?
Thanks, Louise.

Re: Search not working as expected
FYI, I have found a solution to this.
If I disable 'Partial word searching' in the target, all works fine. Flare was obviously not able to cope with the size of the site when this was enabled. We have 60,000 topics.
Just to confirm, I created a test site with fewer topics, and the search worked ...

Search not working as expected
I am using Flare 2018R2. The behavior is observed in both Chrome and IE 11.
I have built a search filter set, and tagged my topics accordingly. Here's what's happening:
1. If i search on a single word, all works as expected for 'all files' (the default), and for any of the filters when selected.

PDFs not opening from within HTML5 output when viewed in IE
I have built an HTML5 site, using the Side-Nav template. Included in the site is a page that lists PDFs, and these PDFs are contained within the resources folder in the Content Explorer.
When I go to the PDF page in Chrome and click on a link, the PDF opens as expected in a new tab. All good.

Print button in HTML5 side nav project
I have a side nav project that we've just done some usability testing on, and users asked how they could print at the topic level. They discovered that they could do Ctrl+P, and it worked, but I was wondering whether there was a way I could add a Print button to the topics. There is no standard ...

ANy update on whether this feature has been timelined, or even implemented? We just did some usability testing and it was something identified as a flaw by users.
Thanks, Louise.
