Re: Font errors in PDF output

Here is a file-by-file way to get around this issue from a post by an Adobe employee on their forum. I've had to resort to this as no fix has come from Adobe and I need to get some PDFs distributed to my teams. It's apparently not just Flare PDFs that have the issue.
Open the PDF file and dismiss ...

Hi all,
in my HTML5 online help I have created a new toolbar button, when clicked a topic will be opened. Works fine.
This topic should show a help topic about the help elements in the online help - a help for this help

Non-breaking space does not work with chrome

I check the HTML5 help in different browsers like IE/edge and chrome.

I´ve figure out that the old non-breaking space #8239; does not work with chrome. There is no space, the words are glued together instead :(

I´ve figure out that two small non-breaking spaces works fine instead.

Do you ...

Re: Automatic Image Resizing Needed

for your browser html5 screenshots you can make your screenshots/images responsive by making an image class.
My image class "Image_Screenshots" has unclassified parameter "max-height: auto" and "max-width: 100%.

Need more details for the "Compute sub-entries" option

Hi all,
in the TOC options is the "Auto-generate" tab.

In "Action" you can define how Flare update the TOC entries
- as is
- Inserte Computed Entries
- Replace with Computed Entries

I´ve read the help, so far so good. But what means these options.

I´ve understand the Depth part. I use "1" for ...

Hi,
I´ve this div class below but I use it as a screen only conditions. So I guess at the moment I had problems

preventing output folder path for html5 or pdf

Hey,
I guess I`m to stupid again for the output folder specification in the targets?

I´d created some own output folders for my html5 and pdf outputs,

- For not released draft outputs e.g. "D:\Drafts\HTML5" and "D:\Drafts\PDF"
- For released outputs e.g. "D:\Released\HTML5" and D:\Released\PDF ...

Non breaking space IE, FF and Chrome

Hi all,
I´m wondering because when using IE and Firefox, the non breaking space between my measurement values is always visible.
NBS_IE_FF.jpg
But when using Google Chrome is is lost.
NBS_chrome.jpg
It it not enough to make non breaking space, have I define more?

Thx

Hi all,
I want to set a global left margin in my tripane body proxy because actually my current css has a lot of stupid left margins, like in all p and table styles. That's bad

Hi Madeline,
in the meantime, do you have a solution for slow running flare / mouse lagging issues?

Because I´ve the same problem since Flare V12 / 64bit.

Why using Topic templates?

I do not understand why it makes sense to create topic templates.

For our team I have make different TOCs for different manual / output types. These TOCs have
- read-only topics like safety instructions.
- non read-only topics which can be specified, like standard task procedures.

But all files ...

Hmm, I´ve checked a lot of variations in the stylesheet without any results.

I tried this

But the button does not appear in the popup window.

In my topics I use
- context sensitive xrefs for internal links between the topics
- hyperlinks for external links, e.g. to a website.

The cross reference format for
- Medium non-print is {para},
- Non-Print is {quote}{para}{quote} {pageref}.

Works fine in my PDF and HTML5 outputs. I like it ...

Importing Adobe Illustrator AI native not possible?

Hi all,
we are thinking to change our general vector format from EPS to AI.

Now I´m a bit surprised why flare does not supports the AI format instead EPS. I thought/hope, ghostscript eats both, right.

No AI in flare? I can not think I´m right :?:
