Did you ever find a way to create a table of xrefs? I know Flare stores this information, it would be nice to pull it out into one file.

We are using Contributor without Central.

Haven't developer a complex flow now, but I created a template for other authors to create new documents that they can share.

I have the same goal. Manage my content in Flare, output to Clean XHTML, and import to Zendesk using their API.

Working with a Zendesk consultant to create a utility to accomplish that task.

I still have some wrinkles to iron out, but we decided it was worth it.

I need to add custom meta tags on a file by file basis that will then output in my Clean XHTML format.
Like

But custom

I thought File Tags would work, but custom tags don't go into the output.

I am using the Last Updated Variable on my Master Page to show when each topic was updated. This works fine on every page except the Search Results page, which displays "December 31, 1600"
I am assuming this has something to do with it being a system generated page. Still wrong.

I am using the "Exclude content not directly or indirectly linked from the target", and yet ALL of my content is being included in the output, and therefore returned in search results.

I'm training SMEs to use Contributor to submit articles to our help and knowledge base. They are really thrown off by the bookmark, index, and concept markers. Does anyone know of a way to toggle the view of these markers so I can hide them for my SMEs?

If you get the following error while publishing to Salesforce, it may be due to file size limitations:
140006, Publish Failed: Could not upload filename

My testing showed that source HTM over 15 KB; output over 50KB will fail (I was successful with 14, 46 respectively).

I would like my developers to include a search box in their Web Application that would then pass the search string to my HTML5 Help Search engine (Flare). From there it would function as if the user opened the help window and performed the search within the help itself.

I'm so glad I found your post. My build was hanging with the GA as well, and this hack did the trick!

I figured it out... have to select the Automatically Synchronize TOC check box in the TOC Options panel at the bottom of the Setup Tab in the Skin.

I let Support know as well, since I logged a case and got the reply "works for me."

I just installed R2018 and I am playing with the new Main Menu layout appearing on the left or the right.

My selections on the Skin Setup- Navigation Pane are

I know this was a while ago, but did you ever find a solution? I am seeing the same problem, and I am not using https, so it should be fairly simple setup, I just never get prompted for my credentials.

I am using the side menu in my TopNav output; however, some of the titles are a little long and end up looking crowded. I'd like to shorten the subheads, while leaving the actual topic title along. I know this can be done because it appears in the Flare help.

I have a custom TopNav Skin. After installing the 2017 R2 update and compiling, the skin is not using the styles from my Mainstyles.css anymore.
It appears to be ignoring a good number of the styles on the logo, the breadcrumbs, etc. When I inspect the elements, I see that it is using Styles.css ...

I would like to change the bullet that indicates a menu item has children. The default is >> and appears to the right of the text.
I can't find where this is specified.
Does anyone know how to modify this?
