Side Menu: Font size changes

When I open the home page the menu text is a good size, but when I select a menu item the font size automatically increases in the menu for the selected menu item and its sub-menu entries. Can it be kept at the initial size?

I tried that, but I couldn't delete the existing menu.png. Do you know how I can do that?

Replacing default hamburger menu icon

This is in reference to the side navigation skin, but was also relevant to top nav. I solved this problem once for top nav, but I've forgotten how I did it.

The default hamburger menu icon is white bars on a transparent background, suitable for a dark heading. However, I have a light grey heading ...

Re: Converting Top Navigation to Side Navigation

My old stylesheet I'd previously renamed, so there was no clash in that regard. However, there are a few styles that have been overwritten. Main issue has been that the new skin doesn't have all the settings that were in the old one, and I'm having to compare old and new to find where differences ...

Re: Converting Top Navigation to Side Navigation

This is from the conversion guide:

"Styles.css This is the stylesheet used for all topics in the Temp project. In our Legacy project,
we have been using two stylesheets—one for the Home page and another for the
rest of the topics. This is where things can get complicated. We want to use the new ...

Re: Converting Top Navigation to Side Navigation

Yes, my project is highly customised, so I'll need to check very carefully afterwards. I'll try again tomorrow when I have more time.

Re: Converting Top Navigation to Side Navigation

Thanks for the suggestion. I included the skin but there was no Side Nav target available. I'm thinking of following the conversion, excluding the home page stuff, and see if the target gets included. If it is, I should be able to fix the rest, including the stylesheets. I'll see how I go.

Re: Converting Top Navigation to Side Navigation

Well, I followed the tutorial (very well done, by the way), but it began to change my home page and that I definitely don't want. In fact all I want is the side panel, nothing else.

I currently have a side panel. It appears whenever the menu is selected. The problem is that it disappears when an ...

File upload timeout

I believe there is a time limit of 120 seconds for uploading a file to a server. Twice today I received timeouts after most of the files were uploaded via Publish. I do have one or two large files that might take longer if the server is busy, so I'd like to know if there is a timeout setting I can ...

I doubt it's the Word version. More like its location. Is it on a network?

Re: Changing Word import file's location

There is a simpler solution. In the Project->Imports folder, select each import file and change the source location of the document. The next time the document changes, it's imported from the new location.

Re: Word List Paragraph style

I got around the list format problem by replacing each of them in the source documents with a one-line, borderless table having two columns: the first for the bullet, the second for the text. Perfect.

Re: Word List Paragraph style

Each document's stylesheet is overwritten if a change is made to that document. Though I added an override to the ul.ul_1 class in MainStyles.css, it had no effect. It seems MainStyles.css is the base style and is overridden by relevant topic stylesheets, and so it's not possible to modify a source ...

Re: Word List Paragraph style

Hi, Sarah. I can fix the problem by going into the stylesheet and changing it afterwards along the line you suggest, but the document is set to auto-import and I'm assuming the stylesheet would be overwritten. Also, I'm importing 14 documents into the one project, so I'd prefer it to be fixed during ...

Word List Paragraph style

When I import a Word document with the List Paragraph style, the resulting indent is far too wide, but I can't see how to modify this. Possibly I've overlooked something during the import. The CSS has a 0px left margin. Anyone know how I should import this style or fix it via the stylesheet?

Re: Two questions about the header

I finally nutted this out for myself. It entailed copying master pages and stylesheets to create deviant versions and adding some copied CSS to change the behaviour of that page, namely the title-bar-section a.logo and title-bar .menu-icon classes.

Problem solved.

Two questions about the header

I have a Top Nav project. The client would like to:
  • Suppress the menu on one page only.
  • Also, replace the logo in just that page.
Are either of those possible, and if so how?

Thanks.

Re: Syntax error with <video>

Adding width="252" and height="189", which are allowable in an <object>, makes no difference.
