I'm wondering if anyone else come across this and if there is a logical explanation. Otherwise, is this a bug?
I made a change in my stylesheet to give my body element a background color. I built my PDF target, and the background-color that I defined in my css body element overrides the color that ...

Re: Remove file path from search results
Thanks for such a great resource, Dave. I have used your documentation site more than once; it's wonderful.
Albert: Out of curiosity, I added a link to the skin stylesheet in the head of one of my topics and checked the "Exclude content not linked ..." option in the target. And as Dave noted, it ...

Re: Remove file path from search results
Hi @aneedell,
I came across the same issue. It seems like Flare took this option out of the skin (I'm using 2017 r3 -- not sure how 2018 handles this). Through using the inspect tool in Chrome and https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=19584 , I was able to work around this.

Re: Best Practices for Sizing Images and Single-Sourcing
Thanks for the info, Steve. Do you use Capture for resizing or another program?
I never resize images to be larger, just smaller and haven't had issues with image quality. I typically use Photoshop, mostly because that is what I am used to, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on the medium ...

Best Practices for Sizing Images and Single-Sourcing
I'm interested to know how users handle image sizing for print and online outputs when a single image is used in different outputs. While we have one style sheet that includes online and print mediums, most of our projects are set up with one output in mind -- pdf or html5. However, I am working on ...

Re: Problem with Page Breaks not Working
This forum is from quite a few years ago, but I just worked through an issue with page breaks in my PDF. Hopefully, this helps someone.
I had all <h1> headings set to have a page break before, but only some were working. I discovered that because my target has "Use TOC depth for heading levels ...

Re: Duplicating Home page footer on topics in Top Nav
Thanks for the info. It was really helpful.
I am modifying the "Ivanhoe" template and ended up coming across a different issue when I tried to add a footer to the other topics. I had the width issue, which the css posted fixed. But I was also coming across a problem where the footer was covering ...

Re: Varaibles in Hyperlinks
Hi there,
I know this is years later, but I thought I would post another solution. Our group has been trying to accomplish the same thing, and we didn't think about system variables until after a few days of racking our brains.
We have a hyperlink on a master page that goes to a survey that ...

Re: Issue - Flare HTML5 Tripane and Submitting Feedback Comm
Hello,
I want to preface my response with saying that I know very little about javascript, just the very basics, and even that is usually over my head.
But, I think I did something similar to what you are trying to do. I've been working on a project that uses a tripane skin. One of the topics has ...

Re: Table resizing in PDF output
I sympathize, and I wish I had an answer for you. I've battled the same thing with table columns for a few weeks and haven't figured anything new out. If it didn't take so much time, I would scrap the table tag all together and build a table-looking thing using divs -- though I am not sure how easy ...

I'm having a similar problem with my Word output. The page numbers are simply not showing even though they do in the PDF output. Hopefully, someone has some suggestions.

Re: Setting table width and column width with Table Styleshe
This still seems to be a problem in Flare.
I've been working on a style guide where 20+ topics use a table. Aside from the <td> cell content, the table is the same in all of the topics. When I build my print output (PDF), I cannot get consistent column sizes. I have tried just about everything I ...

Re: Fixed Table Heading
I've been trying to figure this out myself, and while I have a better understanding of how it works in CSS, I can't get it to work with my Flare project -- I think it has to do with some of the ways that I've formatted my table using the Flare style editor. I've tried getting rid of some of those ...
