You could probably use some regex to insert a line break at the end of certain closing tags, but this seems like it would be arduous. When I see this happen it's usually because something has removed the existing line break characters, I've never been able to consistently replicate it though.

Yup. There is also a DOMPurify patch that I found out about here - https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=34821
Seems to me like it was only communicated to people who reported it or had a ticket open etc.
Very bad communication from MadCap on this and considering they seemingly want to ...

Re: TOC Entry Labels for Side Nav vs Mini TOC
Yes this makes sense, though it will be considerably more tricky than just hiding strings. I think similar things have been done before by using JavaScript to look through the linked content so it's worth searching the forums for references to that (if it lets you!)

Re: TOC Entry Labels for Side Nav vs Mini TOC
Depending on how your part numbers are structured, you might be able to use jQuery to hide them in the mini toc. If you give me some examples I might be able to make a jQuery regex function for you that would work.

I also agree Capture is outdated. It doesn't allow any scrolling capture on a website because it falsely detects changes.

That's exactly what it means, your third-party application displaying field-level help in context (i.e. in a popup etc).

Do they have Git for Windows installed? You can check if so and if Flare is using it in File > Options (cog) > Source Control.
If you it isn't installed then follow the link from Flare to download the latest version and install it with all default options except when you get to Choosing HTTPS ...

Re: dropdown hotspot font size not changing in different mediums
The MadCap|* style classes are a little odd sometimes. They are converted at buildtime into other classes and you likely need to target those in your CSS instead, this means it will work in the browser, but not in the Flare editor

Re: Changing the remote respository URL
Assuming nothing is changing to the content and it's a straight URL swap it should be fine as all the history is contained in the repo. I'd definitely make sure you've committed any pending work to a branch and pushed/published that branch first though, just in case.

You can use .gitignore to ensure publish destinations files aren't bound to source control and create them manually on each machine.

It's worth noting that conditional text is pretty blunt in its implementation, for example you can't exclude at a general level and then include at a more specific level.
Take the following example:
<div MadCap:conditions="Status.Draft">
<p>Conditional Paragraph</p>

Try using a jQuery function in the toolbar javascript section:
$(document).ready(function() {
$(".help-button").on("click", function() {
window.open("https://www.google.com", "_blank");
});
});

Re: Cross-Reference Links Changing "&" to "&"
This seems like it would be a tricky fix.
There's probably a function buried somewhere deep in the bundled MadCap JS that's making this change inadvertently. Any fix you did would be very hacky such as substituting a character in the page title and using jQuery to change it while keeping the page ...

I would recommend that you clone the repo using Git Bash/Command Line into a folder in your Flare Projects folder, then open that copy of the project as a new project. This is how I do it.
