Re: HTML5-Help: Breadcrumps and toolbar next to each other
I would have thought setting a width or min-width of 50%/50vw on the cell that usually contains the breadcrumbs would resolve this?

Ah sorry, I misunderstood, but this might still be possible by appending #mysection to your URL where mysection is the bookmark name.

Re: linking to specific sections of the pdf
Hi Nick,
You can use anchors/named destinations in a PDF to link to specific locations.
<a name="target"></a> inserted anywhere in the document can be linked to by using <a href="#target">click here</a>

Seems the Flare forums block any attempt to edit posts so just to clarify when you import the project from Central, keep the name as is.

Re: Issues with pulling / pushing from Central since upgrading to Flare 2023 R2
I had an issue yesterday where shortly after a commit Flare reported that my project had been deleted from Central. After an initial panicked check that it was all still indeed there, I phoned support and managed to fix the problem with the following steps:

If you have a Central licence, then you can still author the project in the desktop app and fill in the details in the Analytics tab in the target.

Need to be able to upload fonts into Central
Central desperately needs to offer the ability to upload custom fonts for the PDF build process, otherwise SME account users are at the mercy of requiring an Author to build a file if any custom fonts are used.

Re: Google Analytics woes...
Agree with Richard, there is a huge thread about this very same issue and many people encounter issues with async vs async="" because of the strictness of XHTML. There really needs to be an FAQ thread on these forums.

Re: Need help with "Exclude content not linked directly..."
It's worth looking into the difference between url links to other topics and xref links. Afaik, using an xref to a file that wouldn't usually be included in the build based on the Target/TOC settings will include it anyway.

Re: Can we add a personalised watermark when printing a PDF?
I can see the images, maybe you have a security setting blocking them?
To achieve what you're describing you'd likely need to embed some JavaScript in each PDF that can update a watermark on the print event, but from what I've read - this won't work in the basic Adobe Reader (that the majority of ...

Re: Embedding Google Analytics GTAG and GTM Scripts
The error in your script may well be caused by the & symbol. You usually have to change these to & due to the strictness of XML.

Maybe I'm getting confused, Dave is usually spot-on, but I've always created HTML5 outputs and hosted them on an Apache webserver (no IIS) and the MadCap search has worked fine.

Re: Footer Width
I ran into this a few times and there are a few threads floating around about it.
As has been identified in this thread you should not use <footer> tags in your MasterPage, this does not have the intended results (for me it hid the body text behind the footer!).

Just checking you aren't using the "Include" checkbox on your Conditional Text in the Target?
