Re: Creating a class for Command Line Interface formatting
The styles menu can behave oddly at times, but there's nothing stopping you just switching to text view to add the class="CommandLine" manually to the pre tag, which would work fine

Re: Flare checking in files in separate checkins
I use TFS but I assume a lot of the concepts are the same. Flare will perform checkins automatically for certain actions such as creating a new folder and deleting files from your project.

Re: Create snippets for an entire topic
I believe the Create Snippet context option is designed to use the currently selected node (be it a <p> or <li> or <ul> etc.) if it's not feasible to just copy and paste, you could try wrapping the entire body content in a <div> and right-clicking on that in XML view to create the snippet.

Also join the Slack group if you haven't already, it's easier to get help there. You need to PM Nita Beck for an invite.

Re: Page Layout and Styles for more than one PDF output
The more screenshots of the problems you're having you can provide, the better. Might also be worth zipping the project up for people to look at if they have the time and if it isn't sensitive content?

Re: Can you ignore the "Content" folder structure when build
Sorry for my confusion, I think I get what you're on about now. Basically you want the file structure to reflect the TOC exactly? As far as I'm aware you can't do this. The TOC is all managed through JS and your output will always reflect the structure of your Content files (+/- the Content folder ...

Re: Capability for variable sections?
One minor possibly pedantic point. Variables in Flare are different to what you're referring to here. Conditional Text is what you'll need to use to include/exclude specific content per topic/TOC/target etc. Variables in Flare are purely for printing different values into content based on your ...

Re: Changing Logo Image
I can only guess it's intended so you can copy a skin file to a new project without any dependencies? It's just another flareism

Re: Page Layout and Styles for more than one PDF output
This may not be related to your problem but it's very worth mentioning that PageLayouts will pull from certain CSS classes and it can be extremely frustrating to figure out what's going on.

Re: Changing Logo Image
Yes, add the image manually from the file system and it will then be embedded in the skin. I'm not sure what format it uses to do this, but you can see the string in the <Resource> section if you inspect the skin in the text editor.

Re: Can you ignore the "Content" folder structure when build
Hi, I think you may be confusing some options here,
When you tick the Do not use "Content" folder in output box, you're telling Flare not to put all of your files in the generated output into it's own Content folder.
e.g. with the box unticked your output files would look something like this ...

You mean to say you're building a Flare output with Bamboo and not Flare itself? Is this a common procedure?

I'm not sure you'll be able to achieve this, can you give some more detail (i.e. a mock-up image of what this should look like?)

Forced to scroll to view footer
Hi all,
I've been wrestling with getting a footer to occupy the full page width independently of the body, which I've now managed to do however, there seems to be something forcing the body to occupy 100% of the vertical viewport meaning I always have to scroll to view the footer. Any attempt I ...
