Re: I Want to limit search results to specific Target/TOC
If you have a function that is explicitly explained in the UI as "exclude content not linked directly or indirectly from target," then when that function is selected, the target production should do exactly that.

Re: I Want to limit search results to specific Target/TOC
Well, I never use the "Exclude content..." option, because you never really know what it may or may not exclude.
That sounds very much like a bug, and a not insignificant one. A setting should do exactly as it promises.
It's not a bug.

Finding topics with changes
I'm using the Track Changes feature in Flare. As one of my last tasks before I produce a PDF, I want to search for all topics that have unaccepted changes. How do I do that?

In seeing an article for a Mac software bundle deal, I spotted this software called CrossOver: https://www.codeweavers.com/products

Forgive the ignorance, but couldn't you just never check them in in the first place after you create them?

Exclude files from source control within Flare?
Is it possible to exclude specific files from source control management (Git/GitHub, in this case) from within Flare? I have a number of files in my project, such as review targets and the TOCs that I use for them, that simply don't need to be in source control.

Any suggestions on how I could code a CSS file and design a PageLayout to duplicate an existing PDF? Specifically, this one: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/security/phishing_protection-and-domain_protection/app_user_guide.pdf

Re: "Commit required to synchronize"
Yeah, that's what I did--or tried to do. I had 2 files that I had finished with, so I wanted to synchronize those to the remote repository, while other files I was still working on for other Jiras.

OK, I hate Git. Most everyone I have every talked to hates Git. Yet it's still used, seemingly everywhere. So I muddle along.

Re: I Want to limit search results to specific Target/TOC
It's not about the output. It's about the search results.
I have two separate outputs, which I generate from a single content repository. While I've done only one test, when I am viewing one set of (HTML5) output and search for a very specific string that appears only once and only in a topic in ...

Re: Bottom border disappeared in header
Would it not be a lot quicker just to set up a new page layout in Flare, rather than trying to manually edit the raw XML of the page layouts?

Re: Bottom border disappeared in header
It can be a bit tricky spotting things in code like this, so I suggest you compare the HTML pages in something like Beyond Compare and see if you can identify the differences for the entire page layout. You might find that there is a tiny difference between the page that works properly and the page ...

Bottom border disappeared in header
I have a page layout with 4 pages: normal, first, title, and empty. I use only the first two. In the header of the normal page, I define a bottom border in the frame.
Today, when building a PDF, the bottom border disappeared, and I can't figure out why.

Re: Build to AWS S3?
I personally wouldn't publish the output to source control.
People tend to want to do it so they can get a specific output when they need it, but you can do that from the source if necessary. Plus, you have to manually check out the output before you can publish. And you can get conflicts, which ...

Re: Build to AWS S3?
The latter seems like, once it was set up and configured, it might work perfectly--except I think Flare always deletes an output folder and re-creates it when it re-builds a target. This brief...disruption...seems to have totally confounded Github Desktop when I tried using it to sync an output ...

Build to AWS S3?
I've run across a couple of discussions that I think might be related, but I am highly unqualified to understand them because I am barely peripherally familiar with S3. And yet, it looks like, because our company's applications are hosted on S3, we're going to use s3 (or S3 buckets, I think the ...

And that info about what the developer actually needs from a header file, well gee, shouldn't that be in the product documentation?
I may be wrong - perhaps there is a workflow where developers can directly consume the header file for something, but it's not something I've ever come across.
