Once this has been achieved (following Dave's method), how does one style the link in the header?
The link is crowding my logo and isn't vertically centered in the header area. On top of that, my terminal goal is to have a line of 3 clickable links justified to the right, so that my header will ...

Then Context Sensitive is not a solution to my query.
For now, I've been able to mock some of this behavior by falsely reorganizing my TOC and setting a new Home Page for the project (within the Target's General settings, for those who like me did not see this documented anywhere).

Can this same Context Sensitive setting be used to get this effect with the core side navigation menu from the Side Navigation skin?

Replace Side Nav menu with a static TOC (feature requested)
I'm trying to build my project with the Side Navigation skins, but one of the issues I'm facing is that the navigation menu from Side Navigation is configured to expand/collapse on click, like an accordion menu. However, I require my navigation menu to display the TOC items at all times.
It appears ...

Re: side navigation using the menu proxy
If menu proxies truly cannot be used with the Side Navigation skin, what options are there for getting a list of headers (that don't need to accordion expand, rather simply display the list of headers or contain links to additional pages) opposite the Side Navigation panel?

Re: Adding clickable links to Header area
Dave Lee, that is so helpful. Thank you for taking the time to enumerate these steps.
You're right - inserting the script with Insert > Script in the XML Editor, rather than copy/pasting it into the Text Editor is what did the trick.

Create a Two-Column Master Page (solved!)
I'm trying to follow Flare's documented instructions (http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2017r2/Content/Skins/Flare/More/Setting-Fixed-Topic-Menu.htm) for setting a Menu Proxy, and am completely stymied. Every instance of this documentation I can find says "If your master page is configured to use ...

Re: Adding clickable links to Header area
You can't do this using Flare's skin editor, so if you want to do this you'll need to use a manual hack using javascript.
For example, you could add the links to your master page:
<div id="header-links">
<a href="#">Link goes here</a>
</div>
Then insert a script in the master page to move ...

Adding clickable links to Header area (solved!)
I'm using the Side Navigation skin, and have a requirement to add clickable links to the header bar/area of the page.
I can't find any documentation on how to accomplish this, but it seems like it should be doable.
Has anyone tried it - successfully or otherwise? Does anyone know how to approach ...

Re: TocEntry - Styles - Skin Editor
It sounds to me more like amycatesch is looking for a way to create visual groups of 1st level TOC items by listing a few, then a break, then a few more, then a break, then a few more. If that's indeed more in line with your needs, I'm sure there's a way to do that and hopefully someone can help you ...

For answers/explanation provided by forum members, I absolutely agree with you. It's not just nigh impossible to provide a complete overview of an entire sweeping topic like this, it would be ridiculous to ask. That's why I'm specifically asking for links to resources that *do* explain it. I've ...

I've noticed that many features are restricted and only available in the XML Editor, however I only author using the Text Editor. Could it be that this, too, is just only available from within the XML Editor?

You just need to format it in CSS to display so that it occupies space like a pane would.

Don't assume you can't do something just because it's not in one of Flare's templates - they can get you started quickly, but aren't a good showcase of the variety of possible layouts you could produce.
I would investigate what options you have with skins (top nav and side nav) and the skin ...
