Re: Common Setting in all Images in a Flare project

Like a preview on a shopping site? "click or hover for more detail..." ?

You'll have to provide your own .css wizardry for those. Which isn't too awfully difficult to do. Gotta be libraries out there.

It's damn hard...I am leaving this task till I reach to the level when I can handle this

Re: Image references

I am not that good yet with using Conditional text. Still struggling to get the target the way I'd like :?

With the image, one of my colleagues suggested renaming the images using the reference code. That simplified the approach, so we are currently renaming all the images to match their ...

Image references

Hello,

Trying to work out something... is there any reference tags that we can associated with all the images in my Flare help project that is not visible the front end (in HTML5/ Printed outputs). So we have some reference codes to all the screens in company's application. What we are after is ...

Re: Multiple authors working on same project

Source Control..if that was an option  . That is definitely not on the plate for the next couple of months the least.

I was thinking would creating separate TOCs help? The writers will be working on building content for separate modules. Would having a new toc for each module solve this ...

Multiple authors working on same project

Hello,

Is it possible that two authors can work on the same Flare project at the same time. The project is stored on a network drive and not bind by any source control system. Also, the authors will be working on different files in that project at a time.

Is there something we should be concerned ...

Re: Common Setting in all Images in a Flare project

First you need to say where you want the images to behave like this. At first I thought you meant your xml editor view of the project, which depends on the medium you select (although you can separately switch on 'Show all images as thumbnails'), but then you talk about a user printing a page so ...

Common Setting in all Images in a Flare project

Hi All,

Is there a way we can apply magnify setting to all the images in a flare project. Also, is there any other setting than thumbnail setting on an image. I want the image displaying to be small, but not as small as thumbnail and hover over gives a clearer bigger image. This is because, if a ...

Side TOC Displays

In my current project, the I have added a TOC proxy and enabled the context sensitive setting. Now what ideally I would like is to display the main heading levels and then have the expand/collapse that level option. I was just browsing through the customer showcase and came across what I would ...

Blank Side Spaces

Hi All,

I have issue with the way the content pages display in my Flare project.

The content pages have side spaces (both right and left panels) displaying blank. I want the content to cover the entire page but don't know what to tweak to make it happen. Please refer the attached image.

Thanks

Re: Calling a TOC in side pane

Hi,
I am looking for a solution for this issue myself. I could use some help. Did you find a solution?
Adding Menu Proxy in your OtherTopic Master page (Master page for topics other than your home page). For breadcrumbs to display, you can add the Breadcrumbs proxy to the same Master page. But ...

Coming Soon/Under Construction templates

Hi,

I'd like to add some cool link page to the modules that are under construction/releasing soon in my Flare Help Project. Any suggestions?

I really liked those Gif pages such as: https://gfycat.com/forcefulcelebratedazurevase

Re: Using Multiple TOCs and TOC display

The breadcrumbs use the same TOC as the target - so if you want the breadcrumbs to show for all the topics in the modules, they need to be included in the same TOC as the target.

If you want to hide menu items in the top nav, you can choose the Top Menu Levels to Show (Depth) in the top nav skin ...

Re: Using Multiple TOCs and TOC display

Just a thought...is there a way I can hide few menu items from displaying in the top navigation? If that can be attained, I can do as you said and hide the Module TOC from displaying in the top navigation.

Re: Using Multiple TOCs and TOC display

Oh OK...I get it now. But doing that copies the module on the top navigation bar, which is the reason why I wanted two TOCs in the first place. I can have the Main TOC as a part of Module TOC but not other way round. Is that possible?

Re: Using Multiple TOCs and TOC display

Ya, even I realised that later that the menu proxy does not support collapse/ expand; is there a way around it? I am not confident but would making the Module TOC as the primary TOC help. But not sure how the top navigation menu thing would work out then. :?
Also, with the linking Main TOC in ...

Re: Using Multiple TOCs and TOC display

Thanks Dave for your replies.
Further queries (in a loop):
1. Now that the full menu is available, it displays as a long scroll-able list of content topics. Is there a way to customise the toc display so that user can expand and contract the topics.
2. Thanks, I think I am too late in this project ...
