Topics with no incoming links associated with a target
I'm trying to clean up a very bloated project that I knew had many unused topics. I started by generating the Unused items report, which found many of the unused topics -- but not all of them. As I'm going through the project, I have found many topics with no incoming links that were not included in ...

Re: Automatic insertion of non-breaking spaces
I thought I had been able to reproduce it, but can't now. I think you are right -- I'm accidentally holding down the Shift key. TIL

Automatic insertion of non-breaking spaces
I've noticed that Flare automatically inserts a non-breaking space after an all-caps word, such as a product acronym. Is there a way to turn off this behavior? I frequently use acronyms for product names, and non-breaking spaces can cause strange line breaks -- especially in tables. Thanks!

Re: Adding mc-hidden: hidden does not hide the style
No, but I figured out the problem. This was working for some things but not for others. When I realized that you can't use mc-hidden on just a class, I didn't realize that it won't work if your CSS defines the class without any selectors. For example, I thought that if our CSS defined .content-box ...

Re: Adding mc-hidden: hidden does not hide the style
Ah, yes -- I found that in the documentation. So now I have this (as one example):
p.content-box
{
mc-hidden: hidden;
}
But it still doesn't work. When I put my cursor in a paragraph in Flare, I can still select .content-box from the Styles pane.

Adding mc-hidden: hidden does not hide the style
There are classes in the CSS that are used to style our pages, but never need to be manually selected from the Style Window. I'm trying to prevent Flare from showing them in the Style Window. I've added the following property to the CSS definition, but it's not working:
mc-hidden: hidden;

Re: Closing a topic with collapsed tags causes data loss
OK, I can't reproduce this, so I'm not sure what caused it. I lost data from nine subsections. I know that the text was there and had been saved, because I could diff the previous day's checkin in source control and see what was removed. I'm not sure what caused it. If anyone else can offer more ...

Closing a topic with collapsed tags causes data loss
This is a cautionary tale. I recently upgraded to Flare 2020. I was working in sections at the beginning and the end of a very long topic. To save some scrolling, I used the new option to collapse the heading tags in the middle. Unfortunately, I didn't expand them before I closed Flare. When I ...

Re: Search input placeholder text in output does not match s
The problem seems to be resolved.
When I initially checked to see if the languages matched in my skin and target, the language field for the target said:
(default) [English (United States)]
So I assumed that it was pulling the default from the project. Both the skin and target said English ...

Re: Search input placeholder text in output does not match s
Thanks for the suggestions, Dave. It never hurts to start with the basics! But yes, I verified that the target has the right skin selected, and the language is the same. We do have two search boxes, and I have the same problem with the main skin and the search bar proxy that we use on the home page ...

Search input placeholder text in output does not match skin
On the UI Text tab of my HTML 5 skin, I have entered the placeholder text I want to use in the Search Input Placeholder value field. But when I generate my HTML 5 output, it doesn't use that text. The placeholder text is just "Search."
I opened the skin file in a text editor and verified that my ...
