I haven't tried this myself, but mayyybe you could use sibling combinators, i.e. the + / ~ symbols. It seems that the + refers to just the sibling directly before, while the ~ refers to all adjacent siblings. So you could do something like this:
h2 ~ p
{
margin-left: 6pt;

Re: Use variable as a definition for another variable
Good news, it absolutely is possible! You can set the definition for your title variable as something like this:
And it will automatically insert the correct version number during the build.
Code: Select all

I'm not sure why it would be breaking now but not breaking before... But FYI, you can remove spaces from links by going to the Target > Advanced > Replace reserved characters with underscores in filenames.

Re: Table capition including in TOC proxy
That's certainly possible! You can add the mc-heading-level style to any paragraph style you like and it will appear in the TOC with that heading level.
For example, you might use:

Are you getting an error message as well, something like 'Invalid content detected inside table cell'? I suspect you're doing something that Flare doesn't really support, which would explain why it's struggling.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I have a workaround for this: I typically create a blank Flare project, then import only the targets I want out of the master project (grab the target and all linked files). Then you can pull all the files from that project into Lingo freely.

Re: Page break after TOC?
I think you should be able to apply a page break to the TOC proxy itself. Try this in your stylesheet:
MadCap|tocProxy
{
page-break-after: always;
}
Alternatively, in the TOC you might be able to apply a page layout break to the first topic, which would force it to start on a new page. However ...

I'm not having any problems with that on my installation... It sounds like a bug you should report to Madcap.

Now that I understand what you want, I've realised I actually do use a format very similar to that for one of my heading styles. Here's what I came up with:
h1
{
margin: 6pt 0 18pt -72pt;
}
h1.autonumber
{
padding-left: 72pt;
mc-auto-number-format: 'GH:{n+}. ';

Re: Single-sourcing with PDF and xml file outputs
It's not a full solution, but have you looked at the Clean XHTML output? It strips away any non-standard Flare formatting, doesn't attach a skin, etc. Just basic XHTML pages.

It's not quite smart enough to read that line the way you want it to. I believe you'd have to write:
Code: Select all
div.warning1 p:first-child, div.warning2 p:first-child
{
mc-auto-number-format: 'WARNING: ';
}

Re: TOC with Header as first heading level
I'm not certain, but a few thoughts:
Flare might not read the header (assuming that it comes from a page layout) when it is building the TOC - it is probably only looking at the topics themselves for heading levels.
If you have Use TOC depth for heading levels enabled in the target, Flare is ...

I've done this kind of thing a few times... My main piece of advice is to be aware where you are moving the files - either in File Explorer or in Flare itself. If you move the files in Flare, it will try to update the links, whereas File Explorer just moves the files.

@Georgiod93 If you use any source control (e.g. Git), it will record every save you make in the commit log. Then you should be able to export the file history to show any changes, and your comments on them.

Have you tried this with Lingo yet? Lingo typically brings in everything from your Flare project, so that it can create an identical version of the document/help in the other language. I don't use glossaries myself, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to translate a glossary with Lingo.
