That should be the only two places... In fact, you should only need to set the Master TOC in the target (bit of a misnomer - there's no reason the master TOC in any given target has to be the same as the master TOC for the whole project).

Re: Insert link to download pdf in online help?
People can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's about the browser settings rather than Flare. When I used Google Chrome it always opened PDFs directly in the browser (with a download button in the toolbar), while Firefox gives me a choice between downloading or opening the PDF in the ...

Re: Help-PDF output giving error
As a note, Flare uses the /Output/User/Temporary folder (or similar) to build all of the outputs. I believe that just specifying a custom output directory might not be enough - you might need to grab your entire Flare project and put it in a top-level directory somewhere.

Re: Using bullets within notes
Nothing wrong with your style - you just need a slightly different workflow. I take it you are creating a div by creating a p, then using the style window to convert it to a div. Instead, try this:
Create a paragraph, type your text.

Re: Cross reference without link?
I think that you do actually want snippets - this is exactly what they are designed for! But if you must, maybe you could try the paratext format in an xref, which apparently should display the text of the bookmarked paragraph. However, it will still hyperlink to the original, since that's the ...

I haven't stopped Flare from changing the gitignore entirely, but you can definitely push the file to your repository. Just add a # in front of the .gitignore line.

Re: UL and OL standard styles not visible in the styles wind
I meant to say in my earlier post: the easiest way is to create a macro that converts a p tag into a ul/ol. You can record a macro in the Tools ribbon, then link it to any shortcut keys you want. It makes the process very efficient!

Re: How to open (and fix) a broken-link topic?
Hi cdemaagd,
The broken link is in the TOC only - there is nothing wrong with the topic itself. Either the TOC link or the topic location has changed so that the TOC can no longer find the topic.
You will need to fix the link in the TOC so that it points to the correct topic. Right click on the ...

@Matze did you mean the Styles pane where you apply styles while editing a topic? You won't see those styles until you actually create a list (in the Home ribbon). Even then you'll only see li styles, so click on the ul/ol structure bar to get the styles relevant to those elements.

Re: Find All Topics that Are Using a Specific Span
You should just be able to run a find for the span class.
- Press CTRL SHIFT F to open the find and replace pane
- In the Find column, type class="SPAN_CLASS" (or in full <span class="SPAN_CLASS">)
- Set the File types to Topics
- Check Find in Source Code
- Click Find all

Re: CSS problems with list styles
As a general rule, CSS selectors are not case sensitive - ABC and abc are counted as the same style, so the second occurrence overwrites the first one. You've been lulled into a false sense of security because the text/Flare interface shows two separate styles, which in fact it's only one.

Have you had a look at the stylesheet xref style? That's where the text in the xref comes from.

Re: Problems with first line indent on headers in Word outpu
I'm not sure what exactly is wrong in this case, but if you need to play with the word styles separately from the PDF styles you can add a medium to your stylesheet. For example, you could add an @Word medium and apply in the Word target (Advanced tab). Then you can play with the margins and padding ...

Have you turned on 'Track Changes' by any chance? In the Review tab of the ribbon. If so, your changes will not appear in the output until you have accepted them. Then you can turn track changes off to make sure all changes are applied directly instead of after the secondary acceptance step.

Correct me if I'm wrong: I *think* that your problem is that the headings on your topics are changing based on their position in the TOC. This is exactly what the Use TOC depth for heading levels option in Target > Advanced does.

It's as you thought: what you're missing there is probably the stylesheet. If you are using the same stylesheet for your HTML5 output as for your print, it probably is not going to look quite the same. (Especially lists, I find...)
