Hello,
A user in my organization was publishing a project and received the below error:
"Publish failed: Access to the path [file name] is denied."
He is able to navigate to that file and edit it manually, so he appears to have full rights to the file, but for some reason Flare thinks he does not ...

Ordering of search results
I recently created an HTML5 manual and we are trying to get the search results to display in the order in which they were published, or based on a date value within the topic itself, if possible. Is there a way to control the order of search results?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Location of selected topic
Thanks for your help!
I was able to get the topic to select in the TOC which is awesome. There is a bread crumb proxy in my masterpage and I have that setting set in my target and skin but it's still not showing.

Location of selected topic
We recently rebuilt our manuals using HTML5/web layout. I am trying to figure out how to do the below. Using 2017 r3.
- When a topic is found in a search and is selected, the appropriate book(s) are opened and the topic is selected in the TOC pane. This behavior was there in our Flare 2010-created ...

Re: Error when building a target
I took a look and removed some extra content that the 'bad' one had that the good ones didn't have and still he same issue.
I think this is localized to the persons computer, since myself and others can build this without and issue. Its only 1 person having the issue, so far at least.

Error when building a target
Using Flare 2017 r3, we have a single project where we generate 5 different manuals from. Myself and a co-worker are able to build/publish all 5 without an issue.
I have another user, who is using the same version of Flare and working in the same project, and when they attempt to build one of the ...

Re: Remove default header and footer
Your project will already have a master page, you just need to find it.

Your target will probably be linked to a default master page; check your target's Advanced settings to see if it has a ...

Re: Remove default header and footer
This looks much more complicated than I was expecting. Is there a simple way to handle this without adding a Masterpage to my project? I tried to add one and it made little sense. And yes you are correct, I've been managing content/topic in Flare for years but never learned a lot of the plumbing ...

Re: Remove default header and footer
Masterpages and page layouts are different things. Page layouts are only relevant for printed outputs, so you need to look at your masterpage. Give that a go and let us know if that works for you.
For what I mentioned in my previous post, I selected Master Page Layout from the Project -> Primary ...

It's an HTML 5 to be viewed on a web browser. I tried removing the footer block from the page layout but it didn't work.

Got it with applying tags to folders and then setting the include/exclude checkbox accordingly in the target.

Topics included in manual when they shouldnt be
We recently created 5 different manuals all under the same Flare project using a separate target and destination for each manual. I am finding that when I build one of the manuals, it is including the content from all of the manuals; so if a user searches for something, they can get hits on topics ...

Re: Prevent navigation bar from collapsing
Hi Nita,
This is the default layout for an HTML 5 project. The layout has a title section at the top, navigation area on the left (Contents/Index/Glossary), and to the right is the topic content. I am referring to the section that contains the Contents/Index/Glossary and table of contents for the ...

Prevent navigation bar from collapsing
Is it possible to force this open at all times and not collapse if someone resizes their window? We have issues where users are unable to get the bar back after resizing. The only setting I could find relating to this is the Navigation Panel Hide Arrow, but this only allows you o change the color ...
