Of course I found the solution after posting.
I added scroll-behavior: smooth to the body-container instead of html.
body-container { scroll-behavior: smooth; }

Smooth scrolling in topic
Anyone figure out how to get smooth scrolling working when clicking a header in a menuProxy?
As it, clicking a menuProxy header 'jumps' directly to the heading rather than scrolling smoothly.
I added this to my CSS, to no avail. Is Flare overriding this somehow?

Re: Anchor link format from menuProxy
To clarify as I can't edit posts (request blocked!)...
The resultant URL would be: mysite.com/some-topic.html#my-heading rather than mysite.com/some-topic.html#MyHeading

Anchor link format from menuProxy
I've put a menuProxy in a template, which lists all the h2-h6 headers in the topic.
This appears to add an id to each h2-h6 header, which is the anchor.
For example, for the h2 heading 'My Heading', the menuProxy adds the id 'MyHeading' to the related h2 element.
<h2 id="MyHeading">My Heading</h2 ...

Anyone hazard a guess about the Powerpoint export functionality? Wouldn't make my top 100 requested improvements.
New customer marketing ploy, similar to the 'Branding CSS' in the r1 release?

Re: Text Editor lumping all code together for one topic
I haven't upgraded, but I do see this with certain type of XML code that Flare seemingly doesn't like.
The editor has lots of bad behavior, it desperately needs an update. Doesn't recognize Flex and CSS variables for example.

Re: Code Snippets
I convert the spaces into tabs, paste into the code snippet editor. The tabs disappear.
I may have to go back to hand-crafted snippets and no Copy button. (And raising a bug with MadCap.)
Did you ever get this addressed?
Flare is still converting tabs to spaces for me in code snippet output ...

Re: Question mark in user's search causes search to fail
As a workaround you could add some kind of note saying not to include question marks (and other non-alphanumeric characters) in searches.

Table cell content style class reverts to table-text
I have a custom column in a table style.
Regardless of what I set Cell Content Style > Tag and Class to (e.g. <p> and myClass), it reverts to <p> and table-text in the output.
Any ideas?

Problem with anchor links using anchor.js
Anyone using anchor.js to automatically add anchor links to HTML output?
https://github.com/bryanbraun/anchorjs
I've got it working, except the anchor text being generated is in #TitleCase.
Anyone figure out how to get it working so that it generates #kebab-case?

Problems hosting on Amazon s3
Trying to host a site on an Amazon s3 bucket, but having issues with what looks like various CSS not getting picked up, the side navigation bar not having any content (toc).
The site looks fine on a Windows Server host.
Any experience hosting on Amazon s3 that might explain this?
Thanks!

I wish MadCap would just spend a year fixing this and the other quite major bugs and performance issues in their software.
It would be far more beneficial than some of the new features they've been releasing lately - both 2023 releases are particularly underwhelming.
Agreed. The AI and themes ...

That seems as reasonable an approach as any, this kind of thing is a bit of a pick your poison exercise.
If all 'preview tags' need removed before a final build you can do a search replace.
e.g. replace something like this with nothing
