I just installed Google Analytics and it has been very helpful, providing with a lot of valuable information about who is using my help system.
Actually, I was pretty amazed at how detailed the reporting is. Had no idea that people from Sierra Leone were visiting my site!

Patch Endless Loop
Before the 4.2.1 patch became available via the Check for Updates function under the Help menu, I was sent the patch files by tech support.
I applied the patch successfully.
I am now prompted to apply the 4.2.1 patch every time I launch Flare. If I try to apply the patch, I get halfway through it ...

Recent Discussions bug?
When I select Recent Discussions and then click on a posted comment, the normal behavior is that the comment appears. Click it again, it disappears. To note, the name, subject and page are clickable.
However, an odd behavior I am seeing is that when the comment is visible and the pane refreshes ...

Re: Submit feedback dialog getting cutoff
I received an email from a Certified Flare Representative, who gave me a patch for this error. However, BEFORE I applied the patch my users reported that the dialog box error was fixed!

Re: TOC pane changing color
Does it happen in a brand new project?
Was this project originally created in Flare v4 or in an earlier version and then opened and built in v4? I tried it on a project I had created in v3 and just recently opened and built in v4 but that problems doesn't occur for me. Although I can't remember if ...

TOC pane changing color
The background color on my Contents, Search and Favorites frames are gray. When I refresh a frame, it changes to white. Also, all of my custom icons revert back to the default Flare icons. To add to this strangeness, only one out of the two custom icons on the Favorites tab (the two delete icons for ...

Re: About Box image border
You could try reversing things. Set the base img tag to have a border of 0, then use sub-classes for those images that you do want to have a border. All MadCap features that include hyperlinks or pseudo-hyperlinks (drop-down, togglers, etc.), will use the style from the base img tag which in this ...

Re: About Box image border
I have the same issue with the close button in the Concept Links dropdown. I have a subclass with the border removed, but I can't figure out how to apply it to the close button graphic (CloseButton.gif).
The image defaults to the <img> class, natch, but I can't seem to find out how to edit it ...

GDI+ Error in PDF target
When I generate a target, I get "Compiler (Internal Error): A generic error occurred in GDI+."
This occurs in the very last step of the output, when it's trying to save/write the PDF file.
Help?

CommentNode vs. CommentReplyNode (Feedback)
In the Styles tab of a Skin, it seems the CommentNode and the CommentReplyNode are backwards. When I put a graphic in the CommentReplyNode, it shows up at the parent comment in Feedback.

Re: Icon will not update
You're not going mad, for some reason setting an icon for that button in the skin just doesn't work. It has been like that from the initial v4 release, which was the first time I tried to change it.

Re: Title in main frame file
Never noticed that before. It must be getting replaced by a function call in a Javascript file, because when I just loaded a WebHelp that I hadn't viewed in awhile, it started as "WebHelp" but then changed to my caption title once the page was fully loaded.

Isn't that controlled by the Caption field of the Skin Editor, Basic tab?

The <title> tag in the main frame file (The file with the name specified in the Output File field in the Basic tab of the Target) is always WebHelp. Is there a way to change this, other than editing the file in a text editor?

WebHelp not displaying properly in Windows 2000/IE6
I have a customer that can't view my WebHelp system. He is running IE6 (6.0.2800.1106, SP1) on Windows 2000 SP4.
All he sees is the main frame load up. The Toolbar is empty (although the background color--black--renders), the TOC is empty and the main frame is empty. I get the browser's error icon ...
