When I add a Related Topics Control to my HTML help topic, it is not visible in the editor. I have a HTML target and a PDF target.
I would have expected the Related Topics Control to be visible in the editor i HTML (Web) mode.
This used to work in v4.2, now I'm using v5 SP1.

Re: 3 things I can't figure out - or 4
Hi and thanks for the answers.
1) Yes the editor is faster in the later versions, and the pop-ups can in most cases be removed. But it is still awkward to work with, maybe because of the strange right and left brackets, underlines etc. and of cause the non-standard use of the Home and End keys.

3 things I can't figure out - or 4
I have to admit I'm not happy with Flare. I have used it since the very first beta release and still find things that I can't figure out.
Let me just start by asking 3 questions:
1) Writing performance, ok we all know that the editor is very slow (.NET code, too many ambitions, small popups etc ...

Re: Showing HTMLHelp in Skins Window
Hi,
Thanks for answering. In Flare v4.xx the skins did not work for HTML Help inside the Flare program; the Test, and as you did, assigning
a specific topic in the TOC. This now all works inside Flare 5.xx.

Showing HTMLHelp in Skins Window
I still have problems with showing a HTML topic i a specified skin.
Compared to Flare v4.5 the build menu opion "Test CSH API Calls..." now works.
I have then noticed the "Preview as HTML Window" option in the top of the Skin Editor.

CSS :first-line support in Flare
Hi,
I often need to make a stype based on the <p> tag that creates a style with a different first line.
This could be because the first line should be bold or right aligned. I found that CSS actually have some kind of support for a :first-line (:first-letter) support. It does not seem that Flare ...

Re: Multiple Skins
Thanks for the tip, when I use the Skin in the Target it works as expected.
But as you mention, the Skin for individual TOC Topics does not seem to work. I will submit an error report.
Anyone knows about calling a Topic using a specific Skin from code?

Re: Multiple Skins
Yes that is a typo.
It is really strange, if I take the standard Default.flskn and make a copy as Dialog.flskn, and making a reference to that from the TOC,
I still get the error that Dialog.flskn is undefined.
I have looked in the TOC XML and it is referenced correctly?

Re: C# Header file - can Flare create one for export?
I made MadCap aware of the from the very beginning. Very strange since they obvious made MadCap in some managed language.
Probably why it is so slow
We made a small program converting all the C++ #defines into a an Enum.

Using Dot Net Viewer in C++/MFC application
Hi,
Have anyone tried to use this viewer inside a C++/MFC application? It is possible to embed a .NET control in MFC, but I don't know how difficult this would be with this control or form?
