Re: Speller not suggesting words from custom dictionaries?

Hi Enrico,
I think this relates to the same problem I posted (http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... =13&t=8450).
I have posted a feature request. Maybe you should do that too.

Yes Andrew, you are completely right.
And I am using GPL a lot.
I will send a feature request to support.

Update dictionary at a central location

Does somebody know how to set a language dictionary centralized?

The dictionary of a language (mcdic) is by default saved in the Project/Advanced directory.
Every time when you add a word (Add To Dictionary) it will be saved in this file.
However, every time when I start a new project I can start ...

Re: Embedding PICs in word target

I have one extra remark to embedding pictures.

When using Word2007:
Flare outputs to Word97-2003. If you then use the procedure that Kevin describes (which is a good one!), you might not have all the pictures embedded.
Anyway in my case most of the times this happens. Be aware!

To avoid:

Re: Ugly PDF Image Quality Drop in Flare 4.2 vs. Flare 4

Did you try the Media setting (CTRL+ALT+B) where you can set e.g. the Width to a value you want and the Height to Automatic?
I checked it with my test project (just for these kind of things) and it works fine.
As far as I know with the Automatic setting, the resolution will be taken into account ...

Re: Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab

I just got the message from support that they had a look on it and came more or less to the same experiences I had.
So, they added a feature request for a favicon.ico option.

BUt, it is one easy to forget.
Thanks

Re: Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab

Doesn't the favicon have to always be at the root of the website?
That is one of the first things I tried, but didn't work.
And ... htdocs, indeed that's Apache server. I also develop websites with Joomla and then I have to put the favicon in the root of the used template. Thinking of that, I have ...

Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab

Does someone know how to set the favicon (favorite icon)?
In other words how can I change:

I want to put our own icon on these places.

Re: TOC and Index lists

Maybe you have set the start of the tilepage to a header, like H1?
You could create a new Paragraph style (p.title) to fulfil the needs at the top of this page. In my case I have an image containing variables (using Capture 3), but it is just a paragraph.

I have set the Table of Contents without ...

In Flare: Select the image, press CTRL+ALT+B or select Object from the shortcut menu.
In the Media Properties selct Borders & Margins.
There you find the settings you need.

Re: Tablestyle problems in the XML editor

Indeed and I hope that Madcap will come with solutions for these kind of problems.
After all, we need to use tables a little bit more as for instance with MS Word where you also can use TAB's to align some text.

In addition to the good advice from Margaret you can also create a test project very quickly and use the Sample Book from Madcap.
That helped me a lot at the beginning.

The separator sets the bottom line of the rows!

Tablestyle problems in the XML editor

When I create a new Tablestyle I have problems in the XML editor.
For example I have created a housestyle:
housestyle1.png
When I insert the table it seems not to follow the wysiwyg. Entering text in the header is difficult. Most times I cannot see what I enter. When I am lucky and tab to the next ...

Re: Is there a way to include the cursor at capture?

In the first place it would be nice to have an option putting on pointer grab yes or no.
On the other hand, sometime ago I created some basic polylines and put them into 'MyPalette'.
Whenever I need to pay attention to a certain button, dialog or whatever, I drag one of the 'pointers' in 'MyPalette ...

Re: How to easily change a variable in a topic

Well, you are right, probably it is not often used, but I can see you point. You probably want to use such kind of an option to have it highlighted or set to bold, etc. And you want to do that in one go.
Keeping the setting and changing the variable would be nice. There should be a kind of overwrite ...

Re: How to easily change a variable in a topic

CTRL+3 is only to add an existing variable (Intellisense should be on). This can only be achieved at cursor position, not on any kind of selection.
In my case when I right-click on the variable I can open the VariableSet and change the value, which will be valid through the complete project.
You can ...
