Re: formatting bullets

There isn't much detail here, but from your other post I noticed you'd set up the td style in your main styelsheet.

Setting table styles in your main stylesheet will work fine for tables that do not use a table stylesheet.
However, when you apply a table style, you're reformatting the table using ...

Re: CSS property for adding text to a style, like "NOTE:"

david,
I had done mine pretty much the exact same way, though I had been chagrined that I couldn't get the word Note or Tip to be bold. After I saw your post I added your "mc-auto-number-class: bold;" line to my .css but the bold does not show up either in ouput or in the Flare editor. Did that ...

Re: Issue creating templates

So, say your project is called Service.flprj.

The files for this project template should be in:

My templates\Service.flprj

The Service.flprj folder should contain all the files for your project template, so your targets in this template should be in:

My templates\Service.flprj\Project\Targets ...

Re: table cell bullets

If you create a paragraph tag inside the table cell (easy way to do this is to press Enter), you should be able to add your normal bullet lists and other formatting.

Re: Locating multiple instances of a topic in the TOC

I can't actually think of an easy way to do it.
All I can think of is to open the TOC in the internal text editor, then search for the topic filename in that - not exactly straightforward, but you'll find all the links.

Re: Only search/toc bar in webhelp skin

There isn't a setting in Flare to let you do this. It's been mentioned in this forum a few times, but AFAIK it's not something that anyone has managed to do (by hacking the WebHelp code).

Also, you're saying that the MadCap Flare help works in this way?
The Flare help doesn't display help topics ...

Re: Misleading statistics in Analyzer....

Well, it's been reported as an issue. I disagree that there's a problem with the way the feature works, it's more the way it was used.

Analyzer can only do so much. You have to decide whether the topics that it thinks are unused should be deleted or not, so if you delete them without checking ...

Re: Misleading statistics in Analyzer....

I'm not sure I agree. To Flare these topics will appear to be unused, as the user cannot navigate to them in the help system. The fact they have outward links isn't that important.
The way you're displaying them is to link to them directly (not using Flare's CSH), so how would Flare know that they ...

This might be what you're looking for, it's about how to make a non-scrolling region (without any post-processing).

Re: XRef errors when importing from Frame

I get this in my projects too, the import says there's an error for every single xref in the project, but the imported projects build fine without any problems.

I've no idea what causes this error, but it hasn't caused any problems in any of my projects.

Re: Adding indented table in drop-down text

No problem.
I find drop-downs (and lists) can be a bit tricky when it comes to adding divs, etc. Quite often I have to create stuff outside of the drop-down then paste it in.

Re: Adding indented table in drop-down text

I tried it out, and copy and paste should work.
1. Outside of the drop-down, create the div tag and insert the table as you do normally.
2. Right-click the div tag block and select Edit > Copy.
3. Move the cursor inside the drop-down body and paste.

Alternatively, type in the drop-down heading ...

Re: Adding indented table in drop-down text

Ok, I'm still not sure exactly what the steps are that you're doing.

You can insert a table in a drop-down body, so I'm guessing it's something to do with how you're trying to indent it. What is it you're trying to do by pressing Tab? Insert a div tag?

If you're having problems setting it up ...

Re: Numbered lists with checkboxes?

Alternatively, you could set up a paragraph style to do it automatically. I use something similar in one of my projects.

First create a new paragraph class, and set up an auto-number style for the numbering you want, e.g. ' {n+}. '

To include a checkbox, put the image that you want to use in your ...

If a mini-TOC doesn't appear for an individual topic, the first thing I would check is that the topic isn't linked to the TOC in more than one place.

Re: XML Editor - General Use

To remove bold, I wouldn't advise selecting the text and clicking the bold button again - you tend to make a tag mess.

Try using one of these ways:
- Select the section containing the bold tag(s) and click the 'Unformat' button
- Right-click the b tag and select 'Unbind'
