Wild variation in Analyzer Statistics pane

I've been happily using Analyzer v2 for a few days now, and I've noticed something a bit disquieting in the Statistics pane. See the image below:

Re: When you attend webinars - what is your audio provider

Yes, but the anger will come the next time the person who wanted to call you meets you in person. "Why the *bleep* didn't you pick up your phone, you *bleep**bleep**bleep**bleep**bleep* moron!?" It is even an annoyance when it is not on, so it is not an off switch, it is just an annoyance delay ...

Re: ONE project won't open; others do

It opens fine in Flare (version 4, FWIW).

I'm trying to check out everything, and then check it all back in.

ONE project won't open; others do

I'm having trouble with one of my Flare projects not opening in Analyzer.

We're using TFS source control. When I click the project in the Start Page, I get a message asking if I want to get the latest version of all files. If I click Yes, the usual progress dialog, with two progress bars, appears ...

Help viewer web part for SharePoint?

I've been asked to investigate implementing context-sensitive help for an application developed on SharePoint (runs on WSS and MOSS). I've just started looking in to this, so if this is a painfully ignorant question, well, I feel painfully ignorant about how to do this.

Anyway, is there such a ...

Re: Pending check-in message when exiting Flare

I deal with this by using the Microsoft Task Manager "End Task" button, and forcing Flare to close.

Luckily I'll be leaving this job soon, and will then never have to deal with Flare again.
Sounds a bit like taking a hammer to the lightbulb instead of using the OFF switch. But whatever floats ...

Re: Cross references as hyperlinks in Word printed output

I guess my solution is just as messy. I create a hyperlink to the target, and then inside the hyperlink, I create the cross-reference. That way, I get the "See Foo on page X" of a cross-reference, and the whole thing works as a hyperlink.

Re: Feedback

I have just had a look at the new feedback process and a review copy of Flare 3.1 as I am thinking of upgrading from a previous version.
This seems a really good idea but why do people have to rate a topic if they just want to post a comment ? or is it me that is looking at this wrongly (I only ...

Re: User Editable Help

Thanks for the prompt reply. It's pretty much what I suspected. I write help for public administration software. The way customers use the software can vary; consequently, some have asked about the ability to edit various process writeups.

Ours is software for member-based non-profit associations ...

Making Search point to a single topic?

I was wondering if there was a way to force the Search to point to a specific topic when users search for certain terms? Am I missing something elementary?

For example, we have some UI features that are mentioned all over the documentation, but are explained in one place. As it stands, when a user ...

Neal Pozner informs me that this is a known bug. <sigh>

I created my template from scratch; I'll have to try going your route, and make copies of the factory templates to modify.

Re: Custom topic template: 1st Heading strangeness

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried adding the <Head></Head> pair, and it doesn't change the behavior I'm getting. I also discovered that the indents in my template were spaces, while the ones in the factory template were actually tabs. However, changing the indents to match the factory template hasn ...

Custom topic template: 1st Heading strangeness

One of the features I've always liked about the process of creating a new topic in Flare is that you can have the file name become the first header in the topic.

However, I find that feature doesn't seem to want to work when I use custom templates.

Here's what I do:
1) I created my custom ...

Ability to add custom statuses

We'd like to be able to add additional comment statuses (beyond the default Accepted, Pending Review, and Hidden).

For example, we have users entering bugs against the documentation, so we'd like to add statuses like \"Bug - Pending\" and \"Bug - Resolved.\"

I'm going to post a feature request as ...

What's considered a recent comment?

Our system has had comments entered and approved within the last 24 hours, but nothing shows up under Recent Comments. What might be causing this behavior?
