Re: Flare Dropdown Question
Do you have any margin-top or padding-top settings for the drop-down style? that could cause it to display lower than the icon.

Re: Pagelayout indent issue
Do the left and right pagelayouts look the same in the editor? maybe there is a slight difference there in how you set up the layouts.

Re: Flare in Action!
To all those who've asked Smartlett about his "was this helpful" link, I believe that is an add-on feature available from Madcap that captures user responses that you can then access (I don't know how). Anybody that works for Madcap and/or has different information, please correct this, but that's ...

Re: How do you remove the Madcap logo in the toolbar?
You can change that logo in the Skin > Styles > Toolbar Item > Logo > General > Icon. you add the logo you want in your Content/Resources folder, and then it will be available in when you click Browse For Image in the Icon drop-down list. it looks like you can also select None if you don't want a ...

Re: Two column layout in PDF
I think you have to actually have 2 body frames in your page layout, and make sure you make the left one first (the width of your first column) and the right one second. then you should see a line connecting the two boxes with an arrow pointing to the right box (to show the flow from left to right).

Re: How to Customize the Pop-up Window?
Default doesn't really mean your default output, but rather the default style setting for your CSS. the medium in your CSS for the style settings needs to match the medium in your topic view (to see the correct styles) and the medium selected in your target. if you end up having multiple output ...

Re: picture in text problem
i can't figure out the correct CSS off the top of my head right now, but you could put your image and text in a table (image in left column and text in right column) to get it to line up correctly. this would be the easiest way if you have a bunch of images and explanatory text text to them.

Re: How to Customize the Pop-up Window?
Make sure you're editing the same style medium that you're viewing your topic in. and you need to move off of the style (click another one) to register the change and then click Save to save the style.

A - do you want the gradient? you can set the background color for the AccordionTitle in the ToolbarItem section of the Skin styles. it doesn't look like you can make it a gradient though. to take off the gradient from the rest of the toolbar, change the style option for the BackgroundGradient in ...

Re: Word target not using style sheet rules?
I would like clarification, a "master page" is different than a "master page layout", correct?
a "master" page layout is the one that is used primarily, like a Primary Target. Page Layouts are for print, master pages are for online. and yes, it is confusing! :)
Do we need a seperate style ...

sometimes you just have to wait longer after closing the PDF and re-generating it. you could also clear your output folder to fix the problem. i get this problem sometimes, but 99% of the time i don't have to restart windows.

I don't think it's possible, but you can submit a feature request here - https://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx

Re: Is it possible to have project notes within Flare?
Another idea could be typing your notes in the topics and condition the notes so that they don't display. that wouldn't really help you if you had a To Do list, but it would help if you wanted to know why you did something a certain way in a topic (styles, formats, etc.).

Re: Hyperlink to outside projects (v3.1)
are you linking to a chm file? the second example on the help page shows how to link to a webhelp page. i think "mk:@MSITStore:" is only for chm, but i don't know what it means.
