Topic: Would The Ctrl-Y - Repeat Feature Be Useful In Flare?

The problem with a \"repeat style change\" command is that it would apply inline formatting, which eliminates some of the advantage of using stylesheets in the first place. If there's a particular type of style you'd like to be able to use whenever you want, then I recommend creating a generic class ...

It looks like you should be able to sort on the condition color chip column in View > File List, but it doesn't work (bug). If you create a new condition tag, something with a really obnoxious color, then it might help to see it in the File List view, even if you can't sort by the color chip.

The ...

The easiest way is to just open the file in Word and resave it as a .doc file. When I've done that it's always embedded the images in the file. I think there's also a command in Word to change references to embedded instances, but I don't remember it off the top of my head.

In your stylesheet in the print section (you might have to open in Internal Text Editor to see it clearly), look to see if you have a complex selector set up for paragraphs inside lists. It will appear as li p in the stylesheet. See if that specifies a left margin or padding. It might also appear as ...

Try setting the margin-left property instead. Also, make sure your body tag doesn't have any margin-left settings applied to it.

Didn't test this, but see if this Javascript gives you want you want: http://javascript.internet.com/page-details/date-updated.html . You might even be able to put it in a snippet and put the snippet in every page, but you'd have to check to see if it dynamically gives you the date the parent topic ...

Ok, I tested it and confirmed that I can reproduce it. That is, if I create two span classes OR generic classes and give them the exact same attributes, then only one of them appears in Word output. However, if I change just one attribute of one of the classes (say, make the font red), then both ...

Just to clarify, in your stylesheet, is the style written as span.highlight or just .highlight? And are you applying it to the entire paragraph or just a few words within a paragraph?

Are you trying to FTP to your desktop? You need an FTP service running on your computer in order for you to FTP to it. At least, that's how I think it works. Likewise if you want to FTP to a server, the server has to have FTP running on it.

I tried publishing to a folder on my desktop with the ...

You need to open the Default.htm file -- that's the frameset that includes the navigation, toolbar, and topic area. It will open with your "welcome" topic showing.

MadCap didn't say that it wouldn't ever be an option -- just that it's not possible now.
