We once had a search problem when we accidently checked the "Include server-side Help ..." checkbox on the "Publishing" tab of the target.
Another time we had a search problem when we linked to a conflicting JQuery library in a master page (just removed the link and used the Madcap jquery).

Edit the Skin file, and instead of looking in the Styles tab, look under "UI Text" - you should find the label for Search Filters there.

I have only used the trial version so far. I liked using the project management dashboard.
We have only tested using single source binding. Dual bound sounds way too confusing - I'm not sure I can see what the benefits would be.

Re: One Project or Many?
If the help is needed for different products, I would suggest separate projects for each, but keep your common files, like CSS, master pages, etc, in a global project/template and just import the common files in as needed using Global Project Linking.

The "group types" you mention are all HTML elements, and so, no, you can't create your own.

** I see others replied at the same time **
You need to label each style to distinguish the figures and tables - people usually use F for figures and T for tables.
Have a look at : http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2017/Content/Autonumbers/AutoNumber_Format_Examples.htm

It looks like you have more than one header (*.h) file and the entries are duplicated across these files rather than the alias file.
It's possible these are the problem - do you really need so many .H files?

We cleaned up and merged our style sheets from a number of different projects some time ago, but it was a manual process. To be honest, though, it wasn't that difficult.

I think this is a bug in Flare, but there are a few work-arounds.
What version of Flare and Word are you using? I see this problem with Word 2013 documents imported into Flare, but not when I import on a machine with Word 2010.

Thanks Nita, glad you could confirm for me how other source-bound projects work.
Will continue testing this Central thing. By the way, our Melbourne Flare user group has set up a sample project so we can try it during the beta release time.
Stay tuned!

pulling changes from repository
When I open a project in the new Flare that is connected to Madcap Central, it asks if I want to pull the latest changes. However, it doesn't give me a list of what changes are there so I don't want to say yes until I know what will be updated.

Changes assigned to "unknown user"
I have been playing with Central and looking at the source repository and come across an issue (but it is not a major problem).
Was wondering why my changes have been assigned to the "unknown user" when I have logged in and are part of the team.

Re: Image files being renamed during publish
In your target check the Advanced tab for the "Generate resized copies of scaled images" checkbox.
If this is set, and you have resized images, you'll get extras as you have observed.
You can clear this but you should also check your images as you may not need to resize them.

Yes, there is a setting.
Go to File then choose Options from the bottom of the list.
On the General tab, clear the option to "Auto Reload Documents".

Is the heading numbering being imported from Word? I normally turn off auto numbering just before I do an import so that the headings come through as just the text. That way, I can easily set up the formats, including Flare numbering, without a problem.

I'm not clear about exactly what you need. What do you mean by reserving the use of H1 styles for titles? Are you aware that you can set Flare to always use H1 as the title? (in the import dialog, set "Automatically set topic title").
