Re: Flare output access on Confluence wiki?

Hi, I'm hoping for some help.
We user Flare to make our outputs (PDF, CHM, HTML5). We are moving to JIRA service desk and are using Confluence for knowledge base articles.
However, management wants us to publish all the Help systems (HTML5) in Confluence.

We've been trying to figure out how to ...

HubSpot

My marketing team has asked me to put tracking code into my compiled Help systems for analytics tracking.
The code is from HubSpot. But unfortunately, the code causes an error when I copy the code to my master pages, and when I try to build the Help system, the Help system does not build and I get ...

Floating License

General question - I've been using Flare for a long time, but the past five years has been with a floating license.
Does the floating license affect performance? I find that Flare takes forever to save all documents and even sometimes takes a while to open documents.
Not to mention that when I ...

Re: Publishing HTML5 to SharePoint Online

Hi, I have a question about your post - so you are using SharePoint online for file-sharing your source files? Is that correct?

I have a related question that has to do with compiled HTML5 projects.
Currently, we host HTML5 Help systems on our client version of SharePoint, and it works as expected ...

Font sizes different for different TOC levels?

I've seen this happen before and have tried to avoid it so I stayed with older formats.
But I can't figure out how to keep the font size the same for all levels of the TOC.
It seems that text at the first level is the size I want it, but as I progress to a second or third level, the text gets ...

Re: Google Tag Manager Code - Flare Error

My marketing team asked me to update the GA code that we've been using, but like others, Flare isn't liking some of the code.
I have it working based on what I've been able to find in the forums, but I'm still confused b/c I don't know if what I did is correct.

My help can build, but what is ...

Disk Usage with Flare 11

Whenever I upgrade my copy of Flare to the latest (using 11.1.2, which was released in early December 2015) my computer goes through a complete slow down, which lasts about a week or so. This issue started happening after upgrading to Flare 11 earlier this year. So in the short-term, I can build all ...

Re: Flare 11 build process

I think my issue is different b/c it seems to happen when I upgrade, and then it seems to be temporary.
I don't mind my builds taking a few more seconds, but when I upgrade the screen-based builds do not complete. The PDFs take longer, but at least they finish.

I'm using a floating license, which ...

Re: Flare 11 build process

Okay - everytime I install the upgrade my performance of building anything totally tanks - and takes FOREVER!
When I think things are good, there's an upgrade and stupid as I am, I install it.
So now I'm at square 1 again where my builds are taking wwwwwaaaaayyyy longer than they should.
What took ...

Re: Flare 11 build process

I found my issue, and it's not TFS related, since I don't use the source-control integration.
I have to write documentation for a product that is an add-in MS Dynamics GP. So when GP is running my build process doesn' t work. But when I exit GP, the builds work fine.

I can edit no problem and do ...

Re: Flare 11 build process

Oddly - with the issues I had last week, I did submit a support ticket.
But before sending my project, I decided to give it one last go, and the issue was no longer an issue.
All of my targets (print and online based) compiled fine and within five minutes.

Not sure what was going on, but ...

Flare 11 build process

I'm trying to use Flare 11 and build my targets, but I don't know if it's just my computer, so before I contact support, I would like to know if anyone is having issues w/ the build.
In Flare 10 my targets would build in less than three minutes, but in Flare 11 w/ the new build process, a build ...

Re: Help target in a single folder

Because they wanted to know if we could make the end result of the Help the same as MS - MS has no folders for their web-based content for their web client applications.
So that's what they wanted me to look into.
It doesn't matter to me either way, as long as there was an easy way to do this. But ...

Re: Help target in a single folder

Hmmm - maybe I should explain better.

For a single target, there usually are several folders based on the source folder structure and whatever Flare does.
So one target looks like:
- Content folder
- Data folder
- Resources folder
- Skins folder
- csh.js
- Help.htm
- Help.mcwebhelp
- help_CSH ...

Help target in a single folder

I can't seem to find what I need, so I'm asking now.

I create HTML5 targets, which results in several folders - partly based on my source file structure, and partly generated by Flare.
Is there a way to make it so that all Help files are in a single folder after compiling the Help? If so, how can ...

I have a question, and I can't seem to find the answer here.

I use conditions and have multiple alias files.

The help ID strings are the same, but the ...

Situation:

I know you can control hyphenation at the style level, but what I want to know if there's a way to control hyphenation at a higher level so that I don't have to go into each style to modify it?
I searched the Internet and the Flare Help, but there doesn't seem to be anything about it.
