Have to disagree. eLearning quiz doesn't seem to work at all. I answer all the questions and get the error I haven't answered all the questions. This is with the default project out of the box. What's going on here? I see no way to fix this. Has anyone else seen this?

Re: micro content very disappointing
Wow! past vs paste. That's nasty. Thanks for sharing.
My team has concluded this is not ready for use yet. If more features are coming that's great but for now we will not use this.
I plan to make a request to control stemming. That's absolutely needed to get better results.

Re: micro content very disappointing
I agree with you; there's no way to know what the user will search for. But I have more information on this:
It seems that the problem is with one word searches. When I use a single word phrase, I can get matches against words in multi-word phrases.

micro content very disappointing
I'm hoping that there's an answer for my issue, but I don't see one at the moment.
The problem is the way Flare treats the micro content phrase. It appears to be stemming when it shouldn't. If I have micro content with the word access in it, I get the snippet whenever I search for accessibility ...

Re: Two column lists
Why can't you use CSS properties to create a div with a multiple column layout and then put the list inside the div?
Or does that only work for web based output and not PDF or Word?

that seemed like a good guess, but it does not jump to the slide in the slideshow with the bookmark.
It goes to the right topic but not the right slide.

CSH calls to a slideshow
Is there any way to make a CSH call to a specific slide in slideshow?
We are really liking the new slideshow object but are fnding context sensitive call support would be very helpful.

Re: Meta Tags
Putting meta tags on the master page is only good when all tags apply to all topics. When that is not the case, you have to go topic by topic.
What I'd like to see is having some way to convert file tags in Flare to meta tags in the output.

Want to filter csh search calls
One of the new features in HTML 5 is the abilities to make a csh call to search. But I don't see a way to apply the filter I have available from the search field.
Is it possible to do that?

Contributor and Flare
I don't see any information on which versions of Flare I'd need if someone has an old version of Contributor.
For example, if I have Contributor 4 can I use Flare 9 with it or do I need to use an older version? If yes, Which version? Flare 8? Flare 7?

repeating the index1 entry across column and page breaks
Is there any way to repeat the index1 entry automatically so when the column of entries wraps to the next column or page I get an entries like this at the top of the next column:
entry-text (continued)

Re: Output>WebHelp Mobile>default.htm blank;CSH calls don't work
In testing CSH calls I find that aliases and ID number work just fine, but a cshid to a file name does not. I just get a blank page as described in this thread. It looks like the feature does not work as advertised and it does not matter if the file is in a folder on the root or I link to anchor in ...

Re: PDF Output -TOC is not generated properly
No, you've got this backwards.
In my topic, I've got h3 heads which become h4's in the TOC. I want to suppress these heads.
The CSS says to suppress all h4 heads and all p.TOC4 in the generated TOC.
There's a class on these H3s as well so I can suppress them from the TOC too.

Re: PDF Output -TOC is not generated properly
I've got the same problem and in Flare 8.
And yes, I'm using mc-heading-level: 0 to suppress h4 heads and yes I'm using "use TOC depths for heading levels" and the H4 in the TOC are showing when the CSS says to suppress them.

Re: xmlns= xmlns= xmlns= xmlns=....
I am seeing this behavior in some projects and not in others.
I will see if importing content is the common element but I don't think so. If anyone has insight on how to stop Flare from adding empty xmlns attributes please post here but I keep removing them and they keep coming back.

Accessibility in Outputs
It appears the Flare 8 webhelp output is more accessible. JAWS testing reads the frameset better than in Flare 7 from what I can tell but I will have others verify that.

They are local to the machine. We are thinking it is a memory problem. That with Outlook and Flare open at the same time bad things are happening in low memory situations.
we've added 4GB to the computer. If the problems go away, I'll report back with that information.

We have confirmation that the window resizes correctly in Firefox on the same machine. So it is probably a browser setting or a bunch of browser settings. We will investigate further. Thanks for the info on this.

resizing help window with ie 9
We've gotten a report that automatic resizing the webhelp window is not working in IE 9. We don't have a lot of experience with that since the browser is only available for Vista and Windows 7 and Windows 7 computer are just making their way into the company.

Windows 7 issues?
We have Flare on a Windows 7 box and it keeps failing. One day it works and the next it does not.
We see no reason for this and the fix is to re-install Flare.
Why should this be? Could it be a Windows 7 problem? A Flare 7 problem? A hardware problem?
Any ideas or suggestions welcome.
