Re: Changing "Favorite Topics" icon
The default images is located in "C:\Program Files\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare V3\Flare.app\Resources\WebHelp\Default.flwht\Images." If you want to change the icon for all favorites, you must replace the default one with your modified version or everytime you generate a build your image will be ...

In a demo I just attended, Mike Hamilton (VP Product Management) said due to some "issues," he expects around September. Might be a bit early, though it could also be a bit later.

Re: Can't find the Styles window
However when I hit F12 or V iew/Style window nothing happens.
My keyboard has a "Mode" button that when pushed disables the F keys. I have accidently pressed this button while cleaning my keyboard, and poof no more Style Window when I try opening that pane. It's worth taking a look to see if you ...

Re: Which help output should I use?
My developers have no problems with Webhelp. However, if your developers find HTML help easier for them, than that is what you should go with.smurray wrote:The application developers seem to think that it will be easier to call HTML help CSH than WebHelp CSH.

Re: Which help output should I use?
Hi Susan, Fortunately, we are not limited to just HTML help output from Flare for CSH. I generate WebHelp with Context-Sensitive topics.smurray wrote:Does this mean I should output in HTML help?
Hope that helps!

I believe Ramon is referencing "Windows Explorer." However, I must mention an exception. If you are using Subversion as Source Control, your list may, or more likely may Not, sort alphabetically.AlanFisk wrote:Thank you, but what's File Explorer?

Re: Context sensitive Help: Alias.xml file empty
HI, I have read every existing post that I can find, but am still stumped.
I have created an alias file and a header file, but when I compile the Help system, the Alias.xml file in Output/Data is almost empty. It contains only the following:

Re: Split A Project?
But now I see there is a whole section that I don't need in my project. I want to keep it, in case we want to develop it further or re-introduce it later, but for now, I don't want it visible, don't want it built into the output, and don't want to see any messages in the log related to it. Is there ...

I have 6-8 Snippets that include images that are in hundreds of topics without any problem. I'd be interested in knowing what caused your problem as I would like to avoid this issue.

(I'm following up on my post in this thread on 3/11)
Now I'm receiving the "trouble accessing the network" message, which apparently means that Flare can't get to the Madcap server to verify the licensing. (And yes, Flare is identified as a network exception.)

Re: Pasting from MS Word
If possible, I try to avoid pasting in from MS Word into any application. Along with the text I want, Word brings in a lot of "stuff" that all too often creates havoc, and then needs to be fixed.

Paul is correct in that good resource guides are extremely helpful.doc_guy wrote: A good resource guide on CSS won't hurt
